Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It has an arched top with hoops. There are great cast iron embellishments on the uprights and inside the hoops. The crossbars have large cast iron flower where they intersect. There is surface rust overall. It measures 43 inches long and is 42 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple of light bends. The keeper is damaged. One embellishment is missing. Here is a piece of glazed terra cotta facade. This nice little piece is 2 color. Green and yellow and has a lovely leaf rosette design from the art deco period. Unusual to see 2 colors together. I took photos with and without a flash to show the shine on the glaze in bright light, and the warm muted surface with dim light. This small piece would make a great accent on a shelf or garden, bringing history and character. Some years back I was passing a dumpster in front of the Elmwood Movie Theater in Queens NY. It used to have a beautiful colorful facade. And it was being"renovated" I was heartbroken to see the rubble, and I picked out a few pieces, even though they were broken. Antique Architectural Salvage Fancy Hanging Brass Garden Lantern Made in France
Here for your consideration is an antique/vintage garden lantern. This is made of brass and glass and is marked FRANCE. It measures 22" including the three chain links at the top and is 10" in diameter at its widest. This features 8 glass panels in three different sizes. The middle section is where the door is located. The glass panel for the door and the panel next to it is missing. The door needs to be reattached as well. The upper portion has two glass panels that are broken but they are still in place. The lower portion has no broken glass. The brass frame is ornate in detail and has a nice architectural style. Amazing old gate! Hi, I am selling the most amazing decorative cast iron gate topper! At least I think that's what it is. Not too sure: The patina is to die for. Just enough rust and paint loss to be perfect! It has 3 1 5/8" legs at the bottom. I think is where it sat on top of the gate. It has a small easel back behind. Can prop at an angle. It is gigantic measuring 9' 1" wide. 25" tall to the top of the finial, not including the legs at the bottom and is approximately 4" deep. I am guessing it to be 80-90 lbs. I believe it is cast iron. Unknown age. Looks quite old to me. It has incredible detail. So intricate, it is stunning! I think this would make an amazing plant border. But there are so many things you could do! How about above your bed or fireplace? Check the pics carefully. You'll see on the left side ... moreat the bottom the base sticks out a bit further than the scrolly detail above. But on the right side, the scrolly part sticks out further than the base. I think this is where 2 of these would have met. This must have been one whopper of a gate! Check out the 2nd to last pic. And there is a large medallion in the center. The window gate is in very good condition overall. It has surface rust and dings commensurate with age and use. The gate may look sort of lopsided in the photo. This is due to the fact that one end is higher than the other.
