Antique Garden Statue For Restoration Boy on Water Urn Solid HEAVY Concrete
Antique Garden Statue. Boy Atop Water Jug or Urn, Being Sold AS IS For Restoration. Very heavy solid concrete statue. Body weighs 40+ pounds; head weighs 5+ pounds. Body measures 15 3/4" tall, 9" wide, 11" deep. Head measures 5 3/4" tall, 4" wide, and 4 1/2" deep. In addition to being headless, statue shows signs of age wear, including moss, chipping, and remnants of chipping old paint and general wear. There is a hole in the bottom of the statue where I believe it was previously mounted on rebar. The hole almost goes through to the hole in the urn- but DOES NOT go through. Statue is signed on back. Beneath buttocks, however, signature is so worn, even with numerous attempts to trace it with tracing paper, the signature still can't be read. Old metal rebar is showing out of the neck on the head piece. It ... moreappears someone at some time attempted to put the head back on the body with cement, and there are remnants of old cement in the neck hole on the body. If someone decides to take on this restoration. The statue will be double boxed and packed carefully. The head will be mailed in a second box. This is a vintage/antique garden hand tool that was definitely made to last for many years of hard use. This neat old trowel is made of heavy duty steel with a sturdy oak handle-it weighs in at nearly 13 ounces. The overall length is 13 1/2"the blade is 6" and with the shaft it is 10 1/2" That stubby oak handle is 1 1/2" across the top. There is a bit of a gap between the bottom edge of the handle and the shaft but the handle is very well secured.it is not about to come loose. Another neat feature of this trowel is the tabs at the top of the blade.not quite sure why unless to keep you from digging too far down. The blade still has some of the original gray paint and a little light surface rust. It would"spiffy" up really good if you prefer your old tools that way. I have met very few old garden tools that I didn't ... morelike but this one fits right in the"best" category. Great for use and wonderful to add to your"growing" collection. Vintage/Antique Heavy Cast Iron Fire Front Free Standing
This is a vintage or probably antique cast iron fire front. It was cleared from a 300 year old cottage, not that I am saying it is that old! It is very heavy and was found with quite a lot of surface rust. I have cleaned a lot of it off but will still need a bit more attention before repainting. It measures 20.5 inches at it's widest point at the top. 20 inches at it's widest at the bottom and is 18.5 inches wide from the returns at the back.

Up for your consideration today is an antique cast iron garden gate with arched top. I took the pic with the gate laying on it's side because it was too heavy for me to stand up. It still has the porcelain knob and what looks to be a locking mechanism at one time. It is rusty and dilapidated in spots but still functional. It looks like someone tried to save it by attaching it to cast iron pipes on either side of the gate. Still functioning gate but in order to use it this way. You will have to bury the bottom ends of the poles or either attach to fence posts. Great style with arched top. Measures 85" from arch to bottom of gate- 36" wide. The poles measure 10'2" overall from top to bottom. I was told by the previous owner this was the gate used for entering the garden going to the slave quarters so I'm assuming ... morethis is true and the gate probably dates to around the 1850's or sooner. This is a beautiful. Very ornate, Victorian/Art Nouveau style cast brass with a bronze finish two handled urn/vase. Urn has an extreme amount of detail with a different scene on either side. see photos) The detailed handles on each side are of a figural woman's head bust. Magnificent Iron Three-sided Trellis with Wonderful detail is a must-have for your garden. The solid iron piece must weigh at least 200 pounds. The detail in the iron trellis is exceptional. There are square feet at the bottom. Which make this piece sturdy on a solid surface. There are hinges in which both side pieces move in or out. Therefore the spread of the trellis can be increased or decreased to a desired with. The paint shows some discoloration. But either a sandblasting or paint removal could bring this to pristine condition. I do not have an exact age on this piece but I believe it would be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. He is made of heavy cement, and he has been kept inside for many years on a shelf. He has felt lining on the bottom, for protection and not to scratch the shelf he was on. His paint is very good for his age, he has black spots and red mouth, he has appropriate age wear to the cement, but nothing major for this cute guy. Vintage Antique Heavy Cast Iron Spiked Rotary Cultivator Wheel 15 1/2" Rustic
For bid is a cast iron cultivator or rotary hoe wheel from an old farm implement. This heavy duty wheel weighs 14 lbs. 10 ozs. and measures 15 1/2" across. It is 3 1/4" in depth and is molded in one piece. The iron is marked with a"B" and a maker's mark. But I am unable to read the name. It retains some of the original red-orange paint. The unusual design of this wheel would make it a great outdoor decorating item or repurpose it for interior use.
