Up for auction is a lot of 9 valve handles made of STEEL o r IRON. All 9 together weigh just over 2 lbs. The Steel and Iron handles are the Strong Heavy Duty type. There are many different shapes. Sizes, and colors. Sometimes when you stack one handle on top of another handle something interesting happens. Please see photos. All of these handles are used. The white showing on the outside is mineral deposits and it highlights the very pretty ornate design of leaves and small rectangles. Based on where this was purchased it is possible that this is hand thrown by a pottery expert at Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. It is gigantic measuring 9' 1" wide. 25" tall to the top of the finial, not including the legs at the bottom and is approximately 4" deep. I am guessing it to be 80-90 lbs. I believe it is cast iron. Unknown age. Looks quite old to me. It has incredible detail. So intricate, it is stunning! I think this would make an amazing plant border. But there are so many things you could do!
