Wonderful small old urn found in a backchamber of a Maine barn. Although you can't see it in the photos. The underneath of the base reads"patent Nov 12 1850" I believe this to be cast iron. It weighs just over 5 pounds. Great used patina with chippy silver paint. It measures 9.75" across at the widest and 5.75" tall. Great for tabletop or shelf display.

Huge vine twist mounts with its body& base covered fabulous motifs. It stands 52" tall and is 43" wide. It is completely original and in otherwise remarkable condition besides two leaf ends. These bases never seem to make it over the years with the original urns. They do make a huge difference to their values and aesthetics. Antique Seed Planter 19th Century
I had gotten it appraised at the antique appraisal event in Jefferson. Texas recently and was told that it is some type of seed planter that dates back to the 1860's. So it's been on my property probably since my ancestors moved to Texas. It's a pretty cool antique because it reminds me of a train especially when I move it around.
