Up for sale is a L IGHTLY used Berkley Lightning Shock. It is 7' Med Heavy Action. Fireline 30-50 lb recommended. Trilene 10-25 lb recommended. Lure weight 1/4- 1 1/4. The rod is mainly orange with gray and black. There are 7 rod eyes and a hook keeper. A split grip handle. There may be a few scuffs just due to transpo rt of the rod in the boat. I have honestly used this rod only 5 or 6 times. I just don't have the time to go or use this rod. Most of the time it is ultra light rods with my 3 year old. These were used by a local sporting goods store to display different spinning reels. All three handles came from Berkley Lightning Rods. All have the blanks cut off near the handles. All three have padded handles and fore grips. All have some soil and some scrapes on the padding. All are very usable if you’re just trying to build your own rod. All have the blank through handle design. All are graphite. The inside diameter of the blanks on each is very close to 5/16” I’ll let the photos say the rest. Lightning Rod Weathervane Part
Antique weathervane arrow design. I believe this was attached to a lightning rod stand because of the mount size in the middle. It probably had a horse. Cow, or chicken welded to the rod.still has traces of two welds. The arrow is steel, and the rod is either copper or brass. It's 32 1/2" long and weighs between 1 1/2 and 2 pounds. Cool Design! I have for sale a nice D& S company 4 star ball arrow and cobalt D& S lightning rod ball. Stand is not included. For photo purposes only. Arrow is very nice with no damage. The cobalt ball has one nice collar, the other collar is chipped way down( aluminum caps for ball are included) I believe it was chipped intentionally so that it would fit into the arrow without having to bend the top of the arrow so that it would fit. I have seen some D& S arrows that the frame was been bent by the installer to make room for the ball. The body of the ball is nice with some staining, no cracks or chips. On the top of the ball where it is embossed with the D& S logo it looks like scotch tape was on it, it extends from the collar down about an inch. It does not show up in the pictures. I will leave it up to the new owner to try and remove ... moreit if they desire. I never worried about it as it is not that noticeable. It is very difficult to get a feel for the true color with a single ball's photograph. So. I am posting a comparison photo. Below are the four balls being offered.separately. Antique Zinc Ram Lightning Rod Weathervane
Antique hollow bodied zinc ram lightning rod weathervane with cast iron arrow. Oxidized surface with remains of old crusty white paint. There are some very faint traces/flecks of gold leaf or paint that don't show in the photos. Has some bullet holes and a small crack above the second hoof. But the ram is still firmly fixed to the arrow. Seams are all tight except for just around the uppermost bullet hole. No repairs and the arrow is straight. This is the larger size of the lightning rod animals; the ram measures just over 14" long by 10 1/2" tall. Antique Lightning Rod Insulators With screw in hangers
Selling as a lot 4 Antique Lightning rod insulators. These are VERY old dating into the 1800's. Clear thick glass with a 7/8 in hole. 2" in diameter, 2" tall. Two have large chips on the bottom, one has a chip and a defect in the glass on the rim but these wouldn't show in a display. The fourth is in very good condition with slight chips on the inside surface. With original screw in hangers, they haven't been cleaned, I leave them original and leave cleaning to professionals.

This is an extremely rare color and I remember exactly where I obtained this one for my collection years ago. It came off a building west of Cleveland, Ohio, along with 4-5 other units in the same pattern and color. Having the mercury treatment made them desirable then, and even more so now. I believe this was the best condition of those removed from the building. There are just some items that you don't forget their source. It will make a great addition to any collection. The ball has the protective internal tube that helped preserve the mercury on the inside of the ball. There are about a dozen small oxidized areas of mercury on the inside of the ball that are evident on one ... moreside of the ball near the cap. Being offered is one antique glass lightning rod ball made by the Goshen Lightning Rod Company dating back to the early 1900's. It is amethyst in color with a moon and star pattern and measures approximately 4 1/4 inches across and 5 inches end to end from the collars(openings measure 7/8" inside diameter) There is some light chipping and rough edges on the collars which is quite common on antique lightning balls. Black scorching is visible but overall in great condition for its age. Amethyst in the moon and star pattern is hard to come by. Here is an opportunity to acquire one. Selling this lot of Antique Lightning Rod Insulator Hangers or brackets. There are three different sizes or shapes. Iron and brass. There are straps, screw in type, and some pointed type. Vintage Old and Original Horse Weathervane and Lightning Rod Ball, Neat and Nice
Neat Old and Original Circus Horse Weathervane and Blue Milk Glass Quilt Lightning Rod Ball. Weathervane is called a Circus Horse vane because it has a belly band around the horse's middle. Weathervane is hollow bodied and made in the 1915-20's. The horse is tim metal and the front arrow is old cast iron. Weathervane measures 33 inches long. Horse measures 14 inches long.10 inches tall and about 1 1/8 inches thick. This weathervane style was very popular way back then for the roofs of Barns and old Victorian Homes. Horse was large enough to be easily seen from some distance. This one fit over a 5/8 common lightning rod-the most common rod. The blue milk glass"quilt" ball measures 5 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall. It will fit over the common rod or the more fancy twisted star rod. Both items look great together. Please ... morelook at photos for better description. Buyer will just have to get a desired lightning rod and have a great old Circus Horse and Ball set up. Both Weathervane and Ball are in good condition. Nice pieces for Weathervane-lightning rod ball collection or for use on roof. Wall, family room, or even garden as is often used. It has the usual wear and tear rust pitting found on thses old arrows. I believe the red glass is original and it has a pigeon blood look when held to the light. The screw that holds the glass in looks good. So I didn't try to loosen it for fear of twisting it off. This arrow is 18 1/2" long and the glass is approx. 2 1/8" by 5 3/8" Please view the pictures for condition I try to describe items accurately.
