The space from the floor to the underside of the pull-out writing surface measures 30” in height. This beautiful Tall Walnut Victorian Cylinder Roll Secretary Desk is in excellent condition for its age, has many wonderful details and is just waiting for its place of prominence in your home! The elegant bookcase top is graced with beautiful crown moulding adorned with incised carved spade moulding. Two handsome horizontal raised burl panels are found above the gorgeous glass doors. These gorgeous glass doors have pierced cornices at the top and are graced with four large floral medallions along with fluting details. The right door has an intact lock and a working key. The elegant bookcase top has Three large adjustable shelves that measure 9” deep by 37 ¾” long provide ample display and storage opportunity. This elegant bookcase top sits on a fabulous double burl panel cylinder roll base with fluting details on the sides. The double burl panels on the cylinder roll door are accented with picture frame moulding and are fantastic and the ebonized knob pulls appear to be original. Behind the cylinder roll door. There are 6 open pigeon-hole compartments, a larger center compartment with corner sconces, and a pull-out black felt writing surface with Greek Key trim.
