It stands on four wonderfully made vasal formed legs with original wooden caster wheels. This is a wonderfully rugged& heartly built super early 19th Century chest that has been well cared for and professionally maintained from the furniture collection a fine Connecticut estate. We attribute it to one of four New York City cabinet making shops circa 1827. The glove boxes have their working locks and keys. Each original lock is hand mortised into the drawers they came on. Being offered here is a vintage three drawer dresser with exquisite architectural lines and hardware. Please view pictures for details. We are not sure if the wood is walnut or oak. The overall height of this chest measures 66 ½" tall and overall 38 3/8" wide. The marble top measures 17 ½" deep and is 38 3/8" wide. The dresser is 17" deep and 36 ½" wide. The beveled glass on the mirror measures 29 ½" wide and 23 ½" tall. The wheels make this furniture stand 2" off of the floor. One of the knots in the wood on the backside has a whole in it. We did not notice any cracks in the wood on this chest. It has wonderfully old patina and the brass hardware is stunning on the burl finish of the dovetailed drawers. Antique Dresser All Oak. White Marble Excellent Condition Beveled Mirrors Offered is a beautiful oak dresser or vanity. The outstanding feature is the white marble top and it is in mint condition. This is remarkable considering it's age. The dresser has 3 parts- the mirror assembly. The marble mid-section, and the oak base cabinet. The mirror is attached with 2 wooden rear slats which extend to the base cabinet& screws that hold it rigid. The marble rests on the base. It is solid and sturdy. It stands evenly on the floor. The buyer can take this dresser home& use it, guaranteed to have a major effect on a room when it comes to decorating. Guaranteed antique- not a reproduction. DESCRIPTION: The dresser has a 3section mirrored top consisting of a frame with arching top ... moremolding with a carved horizontal over 1/4 round fluted side columns. The center miror is stationary with side mirrors that are hinged& swing out almost 180 degrees. All mirrors have wide bevels. Excellent silvering without blemishes. The marble section is white with a thin grey lines from the stone. It is not composit or manufactured stone. It is clean, no chips, no repairs. The mirror rests on the rear of the top shelf which is over a marble galleried backsplash and opposing side sections. The flat top surface is clean& smooth white marble, all marble is matching and original to the piece. The base cabinet has 2 pull out drawers over 2 swing out doors which open to a large interior with a center horizontal shelf. The base has 1/4 round fluted columns which match the mirror and a center vertical with carving and a burled oval decoration. The pulls are brass, the locks work, a key is provided. The dresser is clean inside, the drawers are not stained, there are no odors, was not stored in a damp location(it's in our house) the drawers slide easily, locks work, this is a nice piece of furniture. Very ornate carved wishbone mirror, fancy carved key escutcheons on the drawer fronts and the original wood pulls on the drawers with dove-tailed joinery on the drawer ends. This fine 19th century dresser measures 77 inches in height to the top of the carved crest on the mirror. Height to the marble at the front measures 33 3/4 inches, width measures 40 inches and depth front to back is 19 1/4 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 150 lbs. Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. Antique Eastlake Dresser with Marble top, Glove Boxes & Ornate Mirror
This is a gorgeous Antique Eastlake walnut dresser with a white Carrera marble top. Ornately carved pivoting mirror, and glove boxes. The 3 drawers below have beautifully carved acorn pulls, and the glove boxes have porcelain knobs. There are burl panels on the front of each drawer under the pulls. The drawers have"pin and cove" joints. There is a crack on the top of one of the glove drawers as shown, but other than that, this is a very well preserved piece of furniture. The size is 33 1/2" high to the dresser top x 37" wide x 18" deep. The top of the mirror measures to 69" high. The glove boxes are 17" x 10" x 5" This is a solidly built, beautifully detailed piece of furniture that will last generations to come! This is a really nice old Eastlake Victorian dresser. It is in remarkably good condition. The drawers have the pegged scolloped rabbet joint very typical of the 1870's. The drawer bottoms are all original and in good condition. The top drawer which got a lot more use than the other drawers was worn on the bottom so its sides have been added onto to make them the proper size. The knobs have been replaced. But there is just one hole in the drawer indicating that the original pulls were single knobs. More pictures can be made available upon request for such things as I just described. This dresser is 98 inches tall to the top of the mirror. The dresser base is 26 inches tall to the top of the marble and it is 46 inches wide. The depth from front to back is 20-1/2 inches. Up for sale is this great Antique marble top dresser it stands over 7 feet tall with the mirror connected to it. It is about 43 inches wide and about 20 inches deep. It has a stunning mirror all complete and not broken. Its flaws are a crack in the marble top but was fixed at some point in itslife so it is one solid piece of marble just re glued back together. A finely mottled brown and white beveled marble slab is on top. The mirror frame is supported with a frame of deep carved classical cornice having acanthus, drapped swag, and serpentine ribbon. The mirror frame support measures 4'9" 57" tall by 3'7" 43" wide by 3" deep, the mirror glass 29" by 27-1/2" The dresser measures 3'8" 44" wide by 2'4" 28" tall by 20" deep. A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. The marble slabs are without chips, or stains. The right side marble piece has been broken in two and cemented back. The mirror is fine. The original finish has aged to almost an ebony color.

Antique Eastlake Dresser This is an Eastlake style antique dresser. We believe it is composed of walnut with a medium-tone finish. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. The exposed marble surface measures 40 7/8" by 13 3/4" This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There are ... morea few chips along the dresser edge. It appears as though there was originally a crown as well as a pair of candle holder arms. These pieces are no longer included. The mirror may be a replacement, since it is not beveled, but it is still a lovely match. There is a slight separation in the joint at the top of the mirror arch. I see a few very faint paint splatters on the dresser. There are minor imperfections, such as scratches or spots of wear, which I believe should be expected on a piece of this age. The dresser has a gorgeous appearance overall. Please see pictures for more details, and please ask questions if you have them. beautiful 1879. Drop down dresser, 8 foot mirror, marble top, this was my husbands grand mothers, NOTE: there is nothing wrong with the mirror, just dirty. NO cracks in marble, I can not show the whole mirror in photo, because it is a 8 foot mirror, and I have it siting in a trailer with 7 foot ceilings, I have it siting on cinder blocks, I believe the tongue and grove is called"cove" the stains on the marble can be cleaned with a paste made of backing soda and water, I have used this method of cleaning on a marble table I have, works great.it does have some scratches, but for being 135 years old, that's to be expected. pick up only NOTE: I must ask what im asking for it, because if it sells, ebay and pay pal get 13% off the top.

A very fine antique. Circa 1860's, solid walnut dresser with gray veined white marble top. Above is the separate mirror in frame, and yoke having a pair of candle stands and glove boxes. The mirror crest is beautifully carved with roses, the dresser drawers with nice carved grips. Dresser retains the three locks with walnut escutcheons, no key. Secondary wood is maple. Mirror frame will swivel. It has been nicely refinished. Total furniture measures 7'2" 86" tall by 3'5" 41" wide by 18-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: walnut without chips or cracks, beveled marble without chips or cracks, very minor stain drip specks. I wish I knew more about this dresser but I don't. I bought it at an estate sale& it really is in excellent condition. It has 4 drawers total. 2 top& bottom& then 2 smaller ones along the the top. The drawers move smooth& the mirror& marble are in excellent condition. The marble is a redish brown color. The top is all carved wood.
