Antique Serpentine Bird’s Eye Maple Tall Chest of Drawers
The table top has mother of pearl inlays and it is decorated with hand painted gold trim and a flower pattern. The same gold trim and flower pattern is continued on the base and the column. A pedestal base is rising from a stepped circular foundation on three feet. Condition: The table is in its original condition with beautiful patina. It is shows normal wear and tear for a piece of furniture made around 1860-70. Measurements: 41 ½ inches tall when the top is up. 28 inches when top is down and 26 in diameter. Tama Artstar II Drum Set (shell pack in bird's eye maple)
Up for sale is a TAMA Artstar II shell pack in the limited edition Birdseye Maple Honey Amber Gloss finish. This was Tama's flagship drum set in the early to late 80's. The Artstar II series is constructed of 9 ply Canadian Maple. The shell pack consists of: 1) 18 x 22 in. Bass Drum with 2" bass drum hoops(1) 9x 10 in. Mounted Tom(1) 11 X 12 in. Mounted Tom(1) 14 x 15 in. Mounted Floor Tom The shells are in excellent shape except for some small blemishes on the bass drum and small mounted tom which I have tried to show in the photos. All the chrome is in good conditions showing very little wear but does have some small scuff areas on some of the bass drum lugs. The set sound very big and powerful. Many of the existing infamous Tama artists today used Artstar II drums when they were still being produced(ex. Lars Ulrich. Vintage Munising bird's-eye maple oval bowl
You are bidding on a pretty Munising bowl made of bird's-eye maple. It is slightly oval. Measuring 10 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches. It is 2 3/4 inches tall. As mentioned above, there are several spots on the bottom that are missing the finish, several tiny white dots of what may be paint, and some slight wear to the interior of the bowl. The clock case is heavy. Dense wood, I believe maple. The base may be a different wood. The clock is from an estate and appears used. It has some issues, but in my opinion, should restore beautifully. CONDITION: The clock motor is working. But the knob on the back that would be used to set the time is frozen. The clock does not always start working when it is plugged in, but when the post in the upper back area is gently rotated the hands start to move, and continue. The sweep second hand will sweep clockwise or counter-clockwise, depending on which way the rear post is turned. The clock appears to run properly, not fast or slow. The clock could use some TLC to restore its beauty and to free the setting knob to turn. There are a few nicks in some of the edges and scrapes on the bottom edge, some scratches on the wood, and the finish is discolored and/or soiled in some areas. American Empire Bird's Eye Maple Document/Jewelry Box with Ogee Front, c.1840 NR
Offered to the highest bidder. A nice American Empire birds' eye maple document box with an ogee front, c 1840. The interior of this box is equipped with a fitted, sectioned tray, which could accomodate writing implements, sealing wax and seals, and ink pots, which sits on raised corner inserts over a larger open area for storing documents. There is a stain within the bottom'document' portion of the box which looks like it may be from the bottom of an inkwell, and the box was represented as a c. 1840 American document box by Freeman's Auctions, where I purchased it some time ago. However, the lid is lined with a mirror which suggests the box's serving as a jewelry box; perhaps this was added later(in the later 19th c. Especially as the mirror shows no real sign of oxidation. The sectioned tray would indeed serve very well ... morefor holding earrings, rings and bracelets, while necklaces could be stored below the tray. If it was added in a later conversion, though, it was done seamlessly, by a true craftsman. In all other respects it appears to be completely original, and to retain its original surface. The box measures 11 1/2" long. 5 1/2" deep, and stands 6 1/4" high on its turned wooden legs. The front is distinguished by an ogee(s-curve) profile, which adds much to its eye appeal, as does the beautifully figured birds' eye maple from which it is constructed. These elements are given added visual punch by the contrasting reddish-brown painted stain which forms a broad defining border to the lid, front, and sides of the box. An inlaid mahogany quatrefoil panel in the lid adds another decorative element to the otherwise simple, classicized form, which is characteristic of the Empire period in American furniture. The box is fitted with a brass lock, the keyhole of which is simply bordered with a brass surround, though it doesn't retain its key. Old WOOD MAPLE NUT DISH BOWL - Bird's Eye? - Ball Feet - Hand Painted
This is a wonderful old bowl. It is made of MAPLE wood and measures 8.75- 9" across and stands just under 3" high. There are 3 ball feet and a centerpiece to hold a nutcracker and 6 nut picks. I tried to get a close up of the grain because I think this might be Birds Eye Maple. The leaf and band design is hand painted and very well done. It's been in the family for decades. Both the interior and exterior of the bowl are in great shape. There are no age or stress cracks. Cosmetically. There is a loss of the finish(varnish? on the ball feet and the top of the stand in the center of the bowl where the nut cracker and picks probably smacked into it during use. Thanks for looking! Antique Bird eye maple dresser and original mirror
Used Bird's Eye Maple Dresser. This piece came from my grandmothers house. She was born in 1900. I don't know where she got this piece from. I used it and my son used it as a dresser. I was told it is the original mirror- it is detachable. The mirror is in excellent shape- it was in storage. The mirror easily attaches/unattached with two pieces of wood. The dresser is about 49 inches tall. The mirror about 21 inches- total height about 70 inches tall. It is 18 wide and about 30.5 inches across the front. Each drawer has a key hole. All the pulls and key holes are original. The two front little drawers are curved to match the curve of the front. The four bottom drawers are flat. It is on wheels The inside of the drawer have some pencil marking and one has black ink spilled The worst part of the veneer is the bottom drawer top right ... morecorner- zoom in and you can see it. Augusta, Maine, circa 1815. The terrific regional case of this Frederic Wingate antique tall clock has a distinctive lattice work fret and rich panels of bird's-eye maple in the door and plinths below the turned quarter columns. The dial, which is of Boston origins, has vibrant polychrome fan form spandrels and a classical urn in the lunette. The dial is signed and numbered in old English calligraphy below the calendar window, F. Bird's Eye Maple frame deconstructed for ease of shipping. This frame was made from frame stock purchased from a frame maker in the early'90s. Who sold museum quality frames& who was going out of business. With its deep rabbet it was designed to hold a stretched canvas, like an oil painting. The wood is maple burl(bird's eye& tiger) with a rounded front edge and a simple defining line. Two sides measure about 35" the other two are about 27" This means that the frame cannot be larger than 35" on one dimension and 27" on the other. The stock is about 1 7/8" deep with a 1 1/8" rabbet. See pictures. This antique wooden lap desk is in very good condition. The outside does have a few surface scratches. But no loose wood, warping or large cracks. It would look amazing with just a little touch-up or refinishing. The lap desk has space for two ink wells. The keyhole brass plate and lock are intact. The embossed velvet lining is original and gives it a unique flare. The interior writing surface wood is either oak or walnut. It has an amazing gleam and golden brown grain! There is a brass clasp that swivels to keep the writing surface in place when closed. There are 2 storage areas, underneath each writing surface. There is no key. It is somewhat reminiscent of a burl, but it is quite different: the small knots that make the burl are missing. Thus the wood is stronger, with a beautiful depth to it. This bed is a mid-19th century continental bird’s eye maple and parcel gilt bedstead w/carved decoration and paneled centre flanked by turned columns on bun feet. The headboard is intricately carved with a central carving and monogram of what looks like a stylized“M” and“S” This is flanked by“waves” of gilded carving. The headboard is decorated with two twisted columns with topped by carved and gilded Corinthian capitels. The same motifs are repeated on the footboard. All of the carving is of very high quality. The bed is in perfect condition in the sense that it is not warped or cracked or split and has been professionally renovated and cleaned up. There is wear on the gilt. Which is normal with age and contributes to the patina. In that sense. The bed is not“mint. The mattress and platform base you supply would be supported by wood side ... morerails running the length of the bed and custom-made iron rails to provide a very secure base for the mattress and to ensure the bed remains stable. Olivia's Vintage would like to present this rare 1965 Hofner Committee solid wood carved archtop. It has a great playing neck with worn. But good frets. It's all original with the exception of the lower strap button, and is 100% complete with the exception of the pickguard and the upper strap button. Included is the pictured'60's hardshell case. One of the reasons why it plays so well is because the neck has been re-set. There has also been overspray on the neck, and on a small area near the neck joint on the sides of the body. The body displays AMAZING bird's eye maple on the back and sides. There are some minor nicks + dings, finish checking, and other cosmetic wear including some areas of binding shrinkage. An outstanding c 1830 petit point embroidery of a bouquet of flowers set in a bird's eye maple veneer frame outlined by 2 darker woods. Total size is 14" x 12 1/2"and the frame is 2 1/4" wide. In fantastic condition for a piece over 175 years old. Some of the veneer is flaking off. But the overall effect of the golden honey patina remains. Needlepoint is very good with only a few stitches missing on the lower left flower- visible only on close inspection. The colors of the flowers are still vibrant. The white background shows aging but the picture has no stains or tears. A beautiful piece for any traditional or cottage home decor.

Up for sale is this used Stratocaster electric guitar neck. It may be a Fender neck. But we are unsure, so please see all of the pictures and judge for yourself. This neck is in nice condition and appears to be of decent quality. The bird's eye maple looks great. The"Fender" logo appears to have been slapped on at some point and is currently flaking off. Birds Eye Maple Hand Carved Trinket box with Wren Bird on Top
Here for your consideration is a lovely hand carved piece. I am not an expert. But it looks like birds Eye Maple. It is embellished on the top with an equally lovely hand carved wren bird. This box measures 4.25x2.25" and is 1.5" tall. The inside just has a felt piece and it has come a bit loose over time. The lid just sets on the top of the box and does not snap down tight. This seems to be how it is carved and does not effect the box, but I just like to mention everything. There are no scratches or scuffs on the wood
