The chair is solid but has a repair at the back side piece. The chair needs a good polishing it has been stored all winter. The chair measures 42" tall by18 1/2" by 14" deep. The crest-rails on the chairs offers applied carvings and incised carvings so typical of the Eastlake period of design. These chairs have vintage green velvet type fabric covering with matching gimp trim, the fabric is wonderful vintage condition with no holes, tears or rips but does have some light soils on the seats of one or two of the chairs.One chair has been re-enforced at the back by the seat and this only shows at a small area at the seat(see close-up picture) this was most likely done some time ago when the chairs were recovered with this fabric.
