Measures 11” wide by 18 ½” long by 23 ¼” tall this very early English Joint Stool is all original. The molded top is made from figured hard wood and held in place with the four original large wood pegs. The slight spieled legs have classic Jacobean turnings and the side aprons have a carved shape. All four stretchers are pegged in place and have the proper wear for a 17 th century Joint Stool. The only problem is a long missing corner from the top. There are no other problems or restorations and the finish is definitely early. Underneath you can see where the long pegs have come through to the inside. All four feet are heavily worn but in solid strong condition. In our last photograph you’ll see this Joint Stool and a second authentic Joint Stool we are listing tonight.
