This high quality dresser has early dove-tailed construction on the dresser base top up under the marble and also on the drawer ends; and an old label with an original owners name handwritten with Chicora, SC written below on the base up under the marble. It is in good condition but does have some ... morecondition issues. I am unsure of the actual age of the dresser but would guess it to come from the mid to late 19th Century. It is made of walnut, with burled rosewood accents. The side mirrors pivot at adjustable angles. The bottom front of the dresser on the left side as you face it is broken off and needs to be repaired. Some of the original wooden drawer pulls are missing as well. There is a glove box inside one of the small drawers, and there are some spare parts that will be shipped with the dresser, including some extra casters. The dresser is very ornate, and quite heavy as well.

Fresh from local Estate. We have a pleasure to offer you this gorgeous turn of the 19th to 20th century French Provincial Marble Top Commode/ Dresser/ Chest. Hand painted at the later date in white and gold. Job done truly spectacular. Original and good quality bronze handles, locks and escutcheons. The marble is beautiful antique red specimen example, it meshes great with the paint colors, leaves all of the attention on the commode. Great quality of the secondary wood, reverse dovetailing on drawers, they slide in and out like skates, no warping or any such issues. Interior of the drawers was also painted(dark red) Heavy wood, intricate carvings, nicely brought to the forefront with painted colors, which are rich and vivid.
