Switzerland. I was fortunate enough to be allowed into their archives and privileged to purchase some of their antique stock that had never been circulated. This auction is for this magnificent tall hand carved table top easel to hold a large photo or a painting. The body is carved to make the wood look like twigs and give it a semi rustic appearance. The top is decorated with three glorious delicately carved Edelweiss flowers. This is an amazing masterpiece carved by the famous Fluck Dynasty of Brienz. Switzerland and the tag that accompanies the frame tells us that it is carved by Peter Fluck in 1904. The wood has a beautiful patina and we can find this item in the Ed. Binder catalog of Brienz in th e 1920's on page 8. Mr. Binder was Mr. Jobin's grandfather. It's in very good condition and has never been previously sold.
