The crest rail on this sofa has a scroll pattern carving with a floral crown. I believe this sofa dates back to the late 1800’s early 1900’s. The back seat is button tuft upholstered. The arms are padded and curve up and out. The extra wide seat rail is fluted with scroll work in the center. There are carved medallions on the front corners. The front legs and feet are Empire style. All 4 feet sit on casters. The new upholstery is dark red with a golden khaki leaf pattern on it. This sofa comes with 2 rectangle throw pillows in dark red fabric with gold rope trim. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I do not know the exact date it was made or who the maker is. It is antique so it will not be perfect. Measurements are 37 7/8 inches tall. 72 3/8 inches side to side and 26 ¼ inches front to back. Weight is 100 pounds.
