A bit rough. Someone removed the lock portion of the main latch. It is an unusual double latch design. The compartment lid inside has broken and been repaired. Corner wear, some surface rust and oxidation. Leather handles broke off and were replaced with some very heavy duty brass handles a long time ago. The brass handles appear to be quite old. One of the cast strap clamps is broken yet all there. There is some damage to the tin clad skin. Original lining is cracked and torn in places. It appears to be all original with the exception of the handles and has not been painted(painting these trunks takes away from their value significantly) I'm sure I'm missing something so please look at the photos carefully and ask questions! Item is available for preview with appointment. I personally would leave it an unrestored original yet it could be restored bringing its value up. This would make a great display piece in your store, business or home. It has a covered hat/ glove compartment in the lid. Hardwood slats.
