TAKE TEA WITH ME ECONOMICALLY! This is just the nicest little benchmade. Quality mahogany Tea Table circa American 1940-70 era wide range, rectangular ... moreTray Top dished edge Queen Anne style piece of small furniture that really imitates its bigger brothers of the power names like Kittinger and Henkel Harris, Henredon, on a shoestring budget. Tea Table features nice deep color and grain pattern. With a scalloped skirt resting on four cabriole legs with slight carving to knees, with protective hard rubber foot terminal ending. There are no candle slides on this model. Construction is rock solid steady with stamped markings underneath, but no maker name, could be any one of several small factories making colonial reproductions of good quality well before the internet and big box store days. Glue blocks on corners undererneath are nice and sound. This is all solid wood, not a cheap chip board foreign mahogany lookalike with sprayed laquer finish that looks garish in person! Condition Report: Slight rub mark to leg as shown. Small burn mark on top. General wear and tear of a used piece. But not abuse; I will clean it up before pickup as I do with all my dealer furniture to presentation quality ready for your home. The photos show you as-found condition; we use our own professional quality products, we do not use supermarket sprays or gummy waxes here that build up or smear; it is our goal to bring back life as quietly as possible and revive to as-new with nothing injurious or irreversable damage. Simply put, 30 years of handling antiques, I know how to manage vintage finishes and wood carefully with experience. PICKUP ONLY please by mutual convenient appointment is requested; I can ship anywhere in USA with perfect success if Buyer is willing to purchase large carton and pay Ground Freight; however. Prohibition was in place, the Model"T" Ford was a popular selling car, women were allowed to vote for the first time in the general election, many people built there homes from"kit homes" from companies such as Sears&Roebuck, this table could well have been in a room with the famous"Davenport" couch and a Player piano near by. The mahogany veneer on the top required replacement. I customized the top with the wonderful diamond inlay that features multiple woods. The curvaceous Queen Anne Cabriole legs with pad feet are superb. The graceful curves on the side, front and back make for a great look. This piece is restored and finished on all 4 sides. The small drawer with its mahogany period knob adds tons of character. The drawer slides like silk. The drawer sides and back are maple. I hand finished this entire piece with many. Many coats of hand rubbed varnish, including the inside of the drawer. The gorgeous grains are showcased with the superb hand rubbed finish, you can see and feel the texture and highlights of the African Mahogany.
