Item: Faux Painted 6 pane"Shabby-Chic" Style Vintage Window Description: This auction is for a 6 pane Wooden-Window. I am a Faux Painter and painted this window to look old and very vintage. Overall. The color is various shades of Mauve with streaks of gold. Mauve is a light shade of burgundy. Not quite pink at all. And not purple. The window appears very aged with some spots more worn than others. Basically, the window appears as if it was once painted in mauve, then someone painted it in gold and what you are left with is a combination of both as time and weather did its thing to it. This method of faux painting is called“antiquing. Nothing is too uniform overall. I have made some spots appear more worn than others. Some areas are lightly crackled. Both sides are done using the same method but not completely identical. Lastly, ... moreafter the painting was done, I applied a thin coat of satin finish polyurethane for durability. It is NOT very shiny. It’s a very low luster sheen. In time, it will become even duller. The goal is to make the window appear as it aged naturally but have the confidence that the window is sound and is not going to fall apart since it really is a 30 year old window and not a 90 year old window as it now appears. Originally, the window is about from 1970. The window comes with a locking catch as well. It is also“antiqued. Many people use these windows as a decorative piece. They attach circle hooks and hang them with old chains in front of a natural light source, use them as cabinet doors or whatever you wish. The dimensions are as follows: 30” high and 19” wide. Each pane of glass measures 8.5” high and a bit more than 7” wide. The weight of the window alone is approx. 7 pounds. Other than that, I hope my pictures are worth a thousand words. Condition: The window is in complete sound condition. There are no cracks in the glass. The glass itself is great condition. There are some very minor scratches though. This window does have several layers of paint on one side which has been flaking. Chipping, and peeling off along with some that has also been scraped off. The reverse side has been stained but it also shows age just as the painted side. FREE SHIPPING! PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and CHECK PHOTOS FOR MEASUREMENTS! If you are looking at the photos you are most likely thinking one of two things. Either: what are these things for or FINALLY I found them! I was the latter. These aluminum clips are for old barn or possibly basement windows to hold in glass(or plexiglass in my case) in the old metal frame windows. My one barn(used to be a cow milking barn) was made of cement block possibly around the 1940s. I'm not real sure of its age, it could be newer or older. It has these rusty metal frame windows in the what are now stalls. I use plexiglass panes in the winter, but pull them out in the summer and these are the clips which hold the panes in place. I have been searching everywhere from Ebay to old country hardware stores to online since the 1990s and have not been able ... moreto find any or anyone who even recognized or had a clue about them even though I had photos of my old ones and the windows they fit in. I only had a few left and finally. I was able to find someone who had a bunch and I stocked up so I would never have to hunt for these things again in my lifetime! I decided that if someone else has gone thru what I have in looking for them, they will also be very happy to have found them! Unfortunately they weren't cheap for such a tiny little part, but it is sure a lot cheaper than replacing the whole window(especially in a cement block building) One of my rusty old windows is shown in several photos to let you know what kind of window these will fit. My windows are rectangular with two panes and each pane needs four clips. Total eight per my window(although I only took photos with six hooked on and of course no pane) They are aluminum so bend easily which is why over the years I used so many when horses popped out the plexiglass with their noses and the clips either fell onto floor and got stepped on and flattened or were lost. Measurements are best seen in the photos, but I think these were a standard size for this type of window. They

Vintage window with mirrored panes installed. This one is a six pane window. All the old lead paint has been removed and the frame was then painted a light maroon. After that. I painted it white with a crackle finish to allow some of the maroon to show through. This gives it the appearance of being weathered. This particular one has a 5/8" x 7 1/4" shelf installed for knick knacks.Key hole slots are installed on the back to allow it to hang flat on your wall. I make these windows as I get them with many variations, such as color, antiquing style, shelves, planter boxes etc. and sell them at craft fairs and flea markets. You will love it! This old window came from the Monument. Colorado area. Wood It is 25" X 17 1/2" X 1 1/2" Each opening for glass is 10" X 14" There are 2 steel pegs. On at each end(centered) that pull to open and lock the window closed. It is weathered& wobbles(loose) Has some paint residue, has nicks, chips, dents, and slight cracks, is missing the glass. A little tlc would make it sturdy once again. Glass can be replaced without a problem. It's a great fixer upper or just as is for decoration(I had it hanging on a wall) All items are sold as is. Welcome! You are bidding on an old Late 1800s Antique 8-Pane Basement Window with five panes of bumpy'crinkle' original glass. And one old pane of bumpy glass that looks like fossils. One pane has been replaced with modern transparent glass and one has been removed for a dryer vent, so there are 6 panes of very old glass still in this window and uncracked. Window was removed from an old home in a better section of University City, Missouri(a suburb of St. Louis, Mo) There is a piece of old Masonite that the dryer vent went through. Wood and paint are old and appropriately worn/aged for their age-fantastic patina! Images show damage where a lock was attached and holes where the hinges were attached(hinges and screws included with window-I do not know if the hinges are original to this old window or not. Here are a great set of antique window shutters from my old Victorian home. There are 3 pairs or 6 panels of window shutters. They measure 5 ft long and 38 inches wide per pair. And they are 1.5 inches thick. They are in very good condition except the one widow pane that got water damaged at the bottom of the window, see photos) All the trim moulding is present as well. Most have their original glass panes. There are 14 panes to each window. These are true divided panes. antique 12-pane original glass window, dove-tailed joints, 1700's New Engl home
Up for auction is a very old 12 pane window from a 1700's New England cape. One side is a 1940's hospital green. The other a barn red. There is some cracking and chipping of paint. The wood is strong without rot and has dove-tailed joints. The glass appears to be all original. Some of the grout is crumbling but would not be a detriment if just used for display or hanging. It measures 42" x 25" and each pane measures 6 3/4' x 8 3/4" Shipping and packaging is difficult with windows but I am a'over' packer so barring a shipping issue it should arrive safe and sound. This solid oak. 12 paned curve framed antique clear glass window is number two of two in our inventory. There is some small paint splatter on the glass and some caulk is missing. The frame is in good condition and shows. This window is painted on both sides with the paint being rough. Look for the match to this window in a follow-up auction. These 2 Vintage 6 pane top sashes were removed from a house built in the 1921. The wood frames size is approx. 32 x 27 each. The 12 original glass panes are approx. 8-1/2 x 11-1/2. Most of the loose white paint has been scraped off, but more of it is chipping. They might have some dents and chips. Some of the exterior putty around the glass might be cracked here and there.
