Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. Antique Vintage Round Oak Butcher Block Table Cast Iron Base
This is an absolutely stunning round oak butcher block table with a beautiful cast iron base. The top measures 49" across. 155" in diameter and 1 3/4" wide. The total height with the base is 29" The top has few imperfections. But there is one small prominent stain or black mark on the table which I have included in the pictures. I chose not to make any changes(sanding, staining, sealing) to the top as it has the perfect imperfections. The base has the original reddish/brown paint. It would be very easy to paint it the color of your choice. There is light surface rust on the legs of the base. This is a very unique piece. I've never seen a round butcher block table top and I don't think the pictures do it justice. I don't know the time period of this table or if the top originally came with the base. It is a nice old piece with a great rustic look about it. The finish has a great worn patina and gives it a great look for a country house or chabby chic living room. The top is made from 4 separate pieces of wood and there is some issues with the surface being a little uneven. There is a little give in one of the end piece boards. The piece is still sturdy and the top could hold a plant or vase but I would not put anything very heavy on it without tightening up the top some. I have left it as is because I like the inconsistency in the top as it shows age and gives character to the piece. Unique Vintage Oak Nest Of Three Tables from England With Turned Post Legs
This auction is for a unique. Well made set of Oak Nest Of Three Tables from England. Each table as pretty" urned post" style legs. Each table also has a nice thick oak top. All of the tables have a thick wavy cut apron under the tops with the smallest table having pretty"spoon carving" on the front& back apron. They appear to have been around a while. Each one is very stable. The finish is good but not great or exceptional by any means. They do not take up much space when stacked. The nest"stacked" is 20" wide and 13 5/8" deep and 19" tall overall. The middle table is 16 1/8" X 11 3/4" and 17 1/2" tall. The smallest table is 12 1/8" X 9 3/4" and 16 1/8" tall. They all have a medium to dark Oak Patina to them. They are little darker in real life than what the pictures ... moreshow. Vintage Tiger Oak Drop Leaf Table Very Good Condition. Beautiful Grain On Top.
This is a very good condition tiger oak drop leaf gate leg table. I was unable to find a maker anywhere on the table. It appears to be early to mid 20th century. There are no major cracks or broken parts on the table. There is an unseen reinforced board underneath that can be seen in the picture. It does have the usual petina of an antique table but as you can see is in great shape. The table measures 39" wide x 30" long x 29" tall when open and is 14" wide when closed. This is the first true"baby size" Barley Twist Gaelag table I have seen in over 5 years. In the 13 years of being in this business. I have seen around 20 of these, but these days, they are far& few between. A"true baby size" means the top is 18" or less across, there asr still small sizes which are around 22 to 26 inches coming over. It is getting harder to find a Good smaller size Barley Twist leg table these days at a good price. This is a well made table with pretty Barley Twist Legs. It has a Dark Oak Patina to it. These were used at"tea time" in the UK. They would be set up and then the tea would be served. After"tea time" they would be folded down ... moreand set up next to a wall until it was time for tea again. Today, these make wonderful entry tables with a pretty plant or flower arrangement on them. The also make a nice end or side table. They do not require at lot of room to store if you are not going to use it everyday. It's the perfect size for a breakfast nook table and also serves well as a game table or an extra table to set up when you have a"crowd" over. It's made out of Solid Oak and has some pretty wood grains showing through on the top. It is 18" X 10 1/2" and 28" tall with both leaves down. With one leaf up. It's 18" X 20 2/8" and about 28" tall. With both leaves up, it's about 18" X 30 1/2" and about 28" tall. It has a dark oak patina to it and is a little darker in real life than the pictures show. It has new hinges& screws on both of the drop leaves. It has some dings. Some scratches and blemishes to the finish but it does not have any water rings on it. This listing contains one beautiful vintage lighted drafting table. This table came from a printing company in Linn. Missouri which closed down about 20 years ago. I was told this piece is 80 years old or possibly older. The lights were added at a later point. Most of the hardware is original to the piece except the piece for lighted attachments and the flat head screws that hold the height adjustment brackets. I believe this to be made of oak. Please keep in mind this piece is in used condition and shows wear but that gives it a unique patina and character. The frosted glass is chip free as well as crack free. Measures 37" when top is flat and not elevated any. 56" when top is elevated to the fullest. 48" long. 36 1/2" deep. Glass piece measures 3' x 2' Wooden top is 1 1/4" thick. Vintage Neat Oak Telephone Hall Bed Side End Lamp Table Stand From England
This auction is for a neat Oak Telephone table from England. It could also be used for a hall table. A bedside table, a lamp table or even a TV Stand. The reason I call it a telephone table is the open shelf under the top was made for storage of phone books, my Great Aunt had one similiar to this in her home that I saw and used years ago. It's a well made table with a solid oak beveled edge top. It has pretty turned post legs with a"stretcher base" connecting the legs. The beveled edge top is 27" X 15 7/8" and it's about 27" tall overall. The opening under the top is about 21 1/4" wide X 12" and about 3 1/2" high. It has a medium dark reddish oak patina to it. It has some blemishes to the finish. Some scrstches and dings but is rock solid and very well built. The overall finish is good, not ... moreexcellent or mint but good.
