This is a beautiful antique Japanese Satsuma lobed teapot. It has a beautiful hand painted gold gilt enameled figural design. It is 4-3/4" high to top ... moreof knob on lid and 7-3/4" from end of spout to end of handle. Unfortunately the lid has been repaired as you can see in the pictures and is missing a large piece on the rim. You can't really notice anything when it is on the teapot. If you look close to the top of the lid you can see where it has been repaired. There is also a teensy little chip on the spout and there is gold loss on the handle. It still displays very nice. It sits on three little feet. The bottom is signed in katakana with gold kanji in a red lozenge.

~Antique Japanese Satsuma Dragon Tea Set Moriage Geisha Teapot Creamer Sugar~
This is a very desirable antique HAND PAINTED tea set. It is Japanese Satsuma. The dragon shaped items contain a Geisha and her suitors(my interpretation) This set includes a tea pot. A creamer, sugar, 3 cups and 5 saucers. This is a very old set. So it is not perfect. One of the cups is a bit rough when feeling around the top of it. There is some of the gold paint on dragon mouths that has rubbed away(see pictures) One saucer has a brown dot on the bottom. Looks like a paint dot when it was being finished. Other than that, tea set is in great condition. All pieces are marked. Antique Hand Painted Japanese Satsuma Cherry Blossum Miniature Teapot Mini Sake
Antique Hand Painted Japanese Satsuma Miniature Teapot I purchased it from an professional antique auctioneer/ appraiser who said it was authentic and from the 18th century- perhaps the Meiji Period. It's intricately and masterfully hand painted with a hand painted mark on the bottom that I can't read- perhaps someone can tell me what it says. It's a Cherry Blossum theme with gold piping typical of these pots. It is a miniature pot measuring just over 3 inches in diameter. About 1.5 inches to the top of the lid, and about 3.5 inches to the top of the handle. Really nice shape overall. One small chip on the inside of the lid(see close up pic) and I think that the handle might be a reproduction but I'm not sure. There is some minor crackle in the glaze which is typical given the age of the piece. The paint is all excellent. ... moreSEE PICS. The pictures really don't do it justice.

Antique Japanese Satsuma Pottery Lot Teapot, Cup & Saucer Sets, Dessert Plates
For your consideration: A gorgeous lot of Japanese Satsuma ware. Older slightly yellow earthenware pottery with very fine crackle. Hand painted design of Japanese Maple and florals. Each piece is slightly different due to hand painting. 19 pieces in all. Not including lid to teapot. 1) Teapot, 6) Cups, 6) Saucers and(6) Dessert plates. Cups are 3 1/8" across not including handle. Saucers are 5 1/4" in diameter, dessert plates are 6 1/2" in diameter. Teapot stand approximately 4 5/8" tall to top of lid. It is 7 inches from tip of spout to outside edge of handle. All pieces are marked with the factory or artists mark. I do not have an exact age on these pieces. But from style, I'd say they most likely date to the 1920s, though they could be older. I have seen several similar items be attributed to the Meiji period, but ... moreI cannot be certain of that. Condition is very good for age. No major chips or cracks. There is one little fleabite on the edge of one dessert plate and a stable break or crack in the clay on the edge of the teapots rim. You can see it in my sixth picture. Bottom left on rim. There is also some of the expected wear to the gilt decoration from use. Mostly on the teapot. The teapot has some staining from use, common to these old pottery wares. Please see my pictures. Offered with a reasonable starting bid and no reserve. Buyer pays shipping. Payment expected within 3 days of auction's end. I generally ship within a day or two of receiving payment. Please do not ding my shipping stars for slow delivery times as we are all at the mercy of the US Postal service. Thanks for looking! Please view my other auctions for more Asian antiques and decorative items. Vintage and modern pottery. I will be listing several pieces over the next few days. I happily combine shipping.

Beautiful Antique Japanese Satsuma Teapot w/Strainer 3 piece Pot Handpainted
Today I am offering a Beautiful Japanese Satsuma Teapot. It is a 3 piece Teapot with a strainer that fits right inside of the pot. Under the lid. The whole Teapot is hand painted(even it's lid) with a beautiful setting of green trees, grass, plants, with 3 Geishas all with pretty kimonos on and there are even a few classic Japanese homes in the background. This is really a nice scene painted on the teapot-it is really pretty- better than most that I have seen. There is also quite a bit gold gilding on this teapot. It is on the rim, handle, and spout. Even the strainer has gold on it's handle. The pot is in very good antique condition with no issues that I could find. Please look at all of the pictures. They are a very important part of the description. They show much more than I can write. The pot is aprox. 5 inches tall, 7 inches ... morewide-from spout to handle and 17 inches around. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I have listed other nice antique Asian items, so you might want to check out my other listings. I do combine shipping and I will ship worldwide.
