BEAUTIFUL VERY OLD ANTIQUE JAPANESE SATSUMA TEA LUNCHEON SET FOR 8
Lovely elegant old antique Japanese Satsuma tea set and dessert or luncheon 26 piece service for 8. Green. Lilac, black and gold trim with gold intermingled throught out. Hand painted heavy gold trimmed set. Set consists of tea pot with lid, covered sugar, 8 tea cups, 8 saucers, 8 plates. Each plate measures a little over 7" in diameter. Saucers are 5 1/4" in diameter and cups are 2" in height. There are no nicks, chips, or cracks but this old set has age crazing and some"staining" on the pieces. I think the stains will come out if soaked. I apologize for the shipping cost but set will require a large box for safe shipping and I will take great care in wrapping each piece for shipment. Rare Antique Japanese Satsuma 15 Piece Hand-Painted Tea Set
Isn't this a fantastic set? Admittedly. I know very little about Japanese pottery but I do know how to research. I found the marking for this set(all pieces are marked) on Gotheborg.com. Apparently, these marks represent the Shimazu family crest and were made in the very early 20th century. The teapot is close to 7" with the top included. You will notice in the pictures there is one chipped dish and a small chip on the spout of the teapot. Other than these two imperfections, I do not see any other damage nor any staining that would not be expected in a very gently treated set that is 100 years old. The inside of the pieces are lightly crazed. The black is almost a black chalk effect that is in amazing condition. I realize I am ignorant on how to access this set so I will gladly reimburse any moneys exchanged if this set is disappointing.

Up for auction is this amazing estate sale find. Estate was of a ship captain that traveled the world for over 42 years. this tea set is marked with the Kyokuzan mark on all of the pieces and includes the tea pot with lid. Creamer and sugar, 8 tea cups, 8 saucers and 9 snack plates. each matching cup, saucer and snack plate is unique and varies from the others. There is a cherry blossom set, maple tree set, bamboo, ducks, villiage scene, and various floral designs. Each exquisite hand painted piece is extremely thin fine porcelain and there are no chips, cracks or wear marks on this set. Was displayed in the home and was not used. The lovely saucers all have a raised lip and heavy gold trim. With all of the pieces set up there is one tea cup missing from the villiage scene set and one saucer missing from a floral set. They of course could ... morebe displayed together. Tea cups measure 3 1/4" diameter and 2 1/4" tall. Saucers are 5" diameter 3/4" tall. Snack plates are 7 1/4" diameter. Beautifully done antique Japanese Satsuma Tea Set, C 1875-1890 Taizan/Kinkozan
Here is one of the nicer enameled satsuma pottery sets of this type that I've seen and is in VERY good condition. I went on Gotheborg and according to what I read. This is a Taizan stamped set and I'm 99.99% sure the signature is also Taizan, BUT it could be Kinkozan. If any of my fellow'Bayers that are more versed in satsuma stamps would like to confirm or deny, I'd love to hear from you. As shown, some of the pieces bear the incised mark and all the pieces are signed. In excellent condition with a nibble to the bottom of the tea pot and some slight discoloration on the tea pot.The colors are bright there is very minimal wear, just some tiny amount on the bamboo handles. Found this partial grouping in a box at an estate sale. I am not familiar with this type of porcelain so I have taken a lot of pictures. There are 3 cups. 4 trays and a covered creamer or individual tea pot. The pieces are decorated with blue and pink wisteria flowers that are outlined in gold. Pieces are marked, but I could not identify it. Condition: One cup has 2 chips on the bottom edge. Other two cups are fine. Trays are all fine, with just some wear on the bottoms and wear to the gold where the cups sit. Little creamer is in fine condition also. Minimal wear to the gold on spout. Antique Satsuma Japanese Gilded Tea Service Set for 5
A japanese gilded ceramic tea service for 5. Decorated with cherry blossoms and a view of a pagoda, satsuma marked. This delicately decorated service comprises of a tea pot, covered milk jug, sugar bowl and cover, five tea cups and saucers and five dessert plates. Circa 1920-1930. This service is in design and style quite typical of the wares that were made in Satsuma in Japan in the interbellum. Satsuma(the name of the town) ware is comparable to stoneware. It is a little harder than earthenware. The items are somewhat heavy. Beautiful set! Everything in great condition with some minor crazing and light brown stain inside the cups due to age.

~Antique Japanese Satsuma Dragon Tea Set Moriage Geisha Brownish Red~
This is a very desirable antique HAND PAINTED tea set. It is Japanese Satsuma. The dragon shaped items contain a Geisha and her suitors(my interpretation) This set includes a tea pot. A creamer, sugar, 3 cups and 5 saucers. This is a very old set. So it is not perfect. One of the cups is a bit rough when feeling around the top of it. There is some of the gold paint on dragon mouths that has rubbed away(see pictures) One saucer has a brown dot on the bottom. Looks like a paint dot when it was being finished. Other than that, tea set is in great condition. All pieces are marked. SATSUMA TEA SET. WITH PITCHER, SMALLER POT, AND 6 CUPS AND SAUCERS, THE CLAY USED WAS A DARK CLAY. THE PALETTE IS ALSO DARK WITH PRIMARILY BROWNS, GOLDS, BLUES AND SOME RED.THE DRAGON IS BLUE AND RED WITH HEAVY APPLICATION OF BEADED MORIAGE. I CAN NOT IDENTIFY THE JAPANESE MARK. THE PIECES DO NOT RING WHEN TAPPED. THAT IS A GOOD THING THAT IS USED TO CHECK PIECES FOR AUTHENCITY. THE TWO POTS EACH HAVE A ROSEWOOD STAND. HOWEVER, SOMEONE GLUED THE TEAPOT TO THE STAND.
