The dresser measures 50 1/2" tall x 36 1/4" wide x 19 1/4" deep. It is very heavy, solid wood. I believe it is maple but not sure. The insides are made of oak. Two of the top small drawers are missing the hardware pulls. Also, two of the top drawers look as if they were once broke but re-glued. It is not very noticeable and I did show this in the photos. It shows some normal wear and the finish is off some on the top. If it was refinished it would look great and the cracks in the 2 drawers would probably not even show. New York 1950 maple dresser chest of drawers 4 feet high 2 feet 8 inches wide 1 foot 6 inches deep in 1962 Kling Factories sold the company to Ethan Allen archivists and researchers of KLING Furniture and Information 1911-1962 My grandparents got this dresser for my dad in western Pennsylvania in 1950. My dad painted it cherry red for our family in Oregon in the 1970s. My friend Janet and her husband and friends helped me refinish the dresser at her house in California in the early 1990s. Janet taught me how to use jasco paint remover. Fine sand paper, with a clear coat to show off the wood. Vintage Ethan Allen rock maple dresser in excellent condition. The top surface is flawless. There is plastic trim that goes around the perimeter of the top and one of the corners is slightly melted and shown in one of the photos. The drawer fronts are clean with just a few minor imperfections and the"worst" of which are pictured in the photos. This piece requires careful inspection to notice any of these minor flaws but I believe in full disclosure. You will not be disappointed when you get it home! The construction is exceptional with tight dovetailed joints at every corner of the drawers. The drawers slide smooth and sit flush. Not sure on age but I would say 1970's. This beautiful Dresser has a light/medium Maple stain finish color, and it has interesting antique Brass-finish handles, see pictures. This Dresser is a high-quality piece with a classic and stylish design, and it has dove-tailed drawers that are made out of solid wood on the inside and they are working properly. The condition of this Dresser is secure and sturdy with some minor scratches/dents here and there proper to its age and as part of its wear& tear, see pictures.
