Measures about 8.5" diameter on the top and about 5" tall. Overall heavy crazing and two large hairline in addition to a star hairline on the bottom. I've had it for years and the hairlines have not gotten larger. Antique Alfred Meakin White Royal Ironstone Chamber Pot with Lid Excellent Cond!
Presented for your consideration this antique white ironstone chamber pot with lid. It has a simple ornate design on the top and side handles and a simple panel motif around the outside. It was made in England by Alfred Meakin as part of the Royal Ironstone Pottery line. It measures 7-1/4" tall including the lid and 10-1/2" across including the handle. It is 9-1/2" in diameter, not including the handle. It is in excellent antique condition, no cracks, chips or repairs. I did find a few yellowish spots on the bottom of the outside, see close up last photo. Your pot will be shipped either USPS or UPS Ground, whichever you choose. 1890s ANTIQUE VICTORIAN White Goodwin's Ironstone Iron Stone China CHAMBER POT
This is a beautiful antique white ironstone piece. It is quite decorative. And would complement a variety of decorating styles and color schemes used as a planter or however you choose. Black back stamp says GOODWIN'S IRON STONE CHINA 1844 with a shield, banner, and two winged creatures(dragons perhaps) This mark was used by Goodwin Pottery Co. of East Liverpool, Ohio, between 1893 and 1906. Approximate measurements of the chamber pot are 5 1/2 inches tall x 8 3/4 inches wide, not including the handle. This is a heavy piece. It has no chips or cracks. There is wear in the glaze(most noticeable on the rim) And tiny discolored spots. Crazing is visible on the underside. On the inside there are scratches in the glaze, mostly visible on the bottom. Royal Ironstone China Chamber Pot from Alfred Meakin antique English utility ware in very nice condition Welcome to Simpler Times Antiques! Here for you today we're pleased to offer this antique English ironstone china chamber pot from the kilns of Alfred Meakin of Hanley. England. Our pot is white in color with no applied decoration. It stands some 5" tall at its rim and measures about 9" in overall diameter not including its generously sized ear shaped handle. This piece surfaced at a recent estate auction where the auctioneer jokingly called it"your next favorite ice cream bowl" being embarrassed to name it for what it is. Your humble eBay seller simply could not resist. The pot has Meakin's Royal Ironstone ... moreChina lion and unicorn mark on its bottom dating it as having probably been made between about 1897 and 1914. It likely was once one piece of a complete chamber set that would have included washbowl with matching pitcher. Hot water jug, and possibly a toothbrush holder. The pot also would have had a lid originally, but alas, that has been lost to the ages. We have looked this item over carefully and found it to be in good antique and used condition. It's damage free having no chips. Cracks, or repairs. We found no crazing of glaze. You will note that the interior surface suffers some stain, discoloration, and residue that's probably commensurate with age and typical use. There are a few scratches and scuffs of the glaze on the exterior surface where the pot has been banged about a bit, but none that would be considered objectionable or offensive. The glaze is well applied, but does exhibit a few of the typical pops and inclusions common to such pottery as this. Taken altogether it's a good looking piece of antique ironstone utility ware that shows well. It has great potential as a planter or simply as a decorative accessory in the right room. A lovely white. Ironstone lid, probably from a chamber pot, but could be used elsewhere. The overall dimensions are 7.75" wide by 3.5" high including handle. The measurement of the lip, which must fit inside your vessel is 6.75" and it projects down about 1/2" The condition is pretty good(of course. See pictures) There is one tiny hairline visible in the last picture and only on the inside. I'm not sure about the other mark, it could be a flake, but it could have been there from the beginning. Beautiful chamber pot in the Winding Vine(Venitia Shape) pattern; potted by T. R. Boote in 1861/1862. Pot measures approximately 8 1/4" in diameter x 5 1/2" high. Pattern has highly embossed leaves at the fancy handle. An embossed vine surrounds the top portion of the pot. Bottom has applied register mark. Pot has very minor wear along top rim and the mid portion of the pot. And few brown speckles on side. Can be seen in photos. Has tiny split in glaze(manufacturer defect) seen in photo. Otherwise pot is in excellent condition with great shiny glaze.no chips. Cracks, crazing. Satisfaction is guaranteed. For your consideration today is a wonderful blue and white ironstone porcelain chamber pot with lid. This chamber pot was produced by the John Maddock& Sons Potteries. Staffordshire England. It is true vintage and in excellent condition overall with no chips or cracks- there is fine crazing all over but the shiny glaze on the pot and lid is still very nice. This chamber pot retains its original lid. The lid and single pot handle are enhanced by a leaf and vine motif molded into the ironstone porcelain. The blue bands on the lid and pot are surrounded by a fine line of goldtone highlights. This pot is approx 8 inches tall at the top of the lid knob. Antique 19th c. English J& G Meakin Ironstone Chamber Pot with Lid Superb antique Alfred Meakin England Royal Ironstone China white ironstone chamber pot with lid. Circa 1898. Marked at base. Beautiful design with floral motif. In very good used condition. Measures approx: Pot with lid measures 7-1/4" high by 9-1/2" diameter. Height to pot rim is 5" Pot is 9" diameter at the top. Lid diameter is 9-1/2" 11" across the pot at the handle. Weighs 4 1/2 pounds. In excellent overall condition with very light wear from age and use. No crazing. No cracks. Stains or repairs. Possible 1/2" hairline fracture on bottom of pot rim in same location as handle. One small 1/4" chip at the base edge. Old ironstone embossed white lid only chamber slop pot bucket vintage antique
I have a lid only that was probably for a chamber or slop pot. White on white old embossed ironstone or china. 9" diameter. 1.75" high; 2.5" high to top of knob. Measuring on the outside of the rim at the bottom of the angle. The widest is about 8" diameter. Measuring inside of the raised rim is about 7" diameter. I find no chips. Cracks, chips or really any crazing. Some teeny inclusions and pocks normally seen in this old stoneware. I've tried to show the embossed pattern around the handle. Which is about 4.5" diameter. The outer edge of the lid has 4. Approximately 2" sections of scallops that have a curlicue of embossing at each end. Hard to photograph.
