Antique Homer Laughlin Slop Pail / Chamber Pot Eagle & Lion Mark PAT APPLIED FOR
This Homer Laughlin piece is in astonishing condition considering it dates back to 1890. From what I have found from searches it was made between 1890 and 1900 according to the makers mark. I cannot find any other Laughlin Slop Pails anywhere. Except for the shapes chart. The makers mark has the Eagle on the Lion and PAT APPLIED FOR. The piece itself has alot of crazing but has no dings or dents. It's in fantastic condition. Please click on the photos for a larger picture and closer view. It is pretty large. Hello! Thank you for joining us in order to preview an exceptionally scarce and distinctive. Antiquarian miniature, making for a wonderful dollhouse accent, small for the bathroom knick-knack shelf or interesting display item for the antique science and medicine collection. Offered here is an original(circa 1920) miniature stoneware chamber pot, showing a shiny gold interior and gilded FANNY PHYSICIAN namesake across the front of the pot. I do not know the exact history behind the miniature chamber pot; having procured the keepsake this past Summer at a New England estate where the majority of items dated anywhere between 1880-1940. The miniature shows no maker's marks. A stout little pot with nice shiny glazing, measuring 1" height x 1 1/4" diameter at the rim. The Fanny Physician has a great handle as well. The antiquarian ... moreminiature may have been a premium from some sort of treatment for constipation? The chamber pot miniature is in excellent condition, showing no unsightly age indications. This auction is for a Lovely Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot and Lid made by Johnson Brother. Late Pankhurst& Co. of England circa 1883. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for its age. The pot and the matching lid have 12 sides. There are no chips or cracks or repairs or damage- Not Even Crazing. It's that nice. It is extremely hard to find Chamber Pots in this gre at shape especially con sidering wh a t t hey were used for. There is a small glaze bubble at the base of t he lid handle that was from the firing process(see last photo) It adds character and authenticity to the piece. The chamber pot has the Johnson Bros. Late Pankhurst& Co. Royal Coat of Arms black backstamp. The piece dates to 1883 when Johnson Bros. was taking over the backrupt Pankhurst Co. With the lid on. Chamber Pot Manufacturer: Unknown. I could not identify the mark. The mark is an oil lamp with the words Ivory and England around it. Age: Based on the wear on the base and other observations I’m sure this is not a recent reproduction. The term Ivory refers to the color. A creamy ivory vs. white, not to the manufacturer. Approximate dimensions in inches: Ht: 5.0 Inside Diam. Top: 7.4 Outside Diam. Top: 9.0 Bottom Diameter: 6.0 Condition: Solid. Rings if you hang by handle and tap the pot. No damage. This is a lovely pot with attractive hand painted flowers and highlighting in blue. The paint is over the original glaze but appears to be fired on the piece. Further evidence is the blue number near the makers mark on the bottom done with the same blue as the flowers. There is one small chip on the base ring(see last picture) No other chips or cracks. I did clean this with soap and a soft cloth, I was afraid to use anything abrasive but it does still need some cleaning inside. Nice and clean on the outside. Measures 8 1/2" in diameter, 5" tall. The makers mark underneath is the royal arms surmounted by the words ROYAL PATENT IRONSTONE and beneath. Antique Vitreous Chamber Pot made by EDWIN M. KNOWLES CHINA Co. The identification#s on the bottom are 24-1-10. This has absolutly no chips. It does have crazing inside and out. There is a small star like crack That is shown in the pics. This crack only shows on the outside. It can not be seen on the inside, So I don't know if this is really considered a crack or just more crazing. From what I found researching on the net, this was made in 1924.

I believe the backstamp dates this from 1883 to 1913. Nice Antique Kensington Ware England Ceramic Porcelain Chamber Pot Circa:1930's. This chamber pot is 5" tall and 9 1/4"diameter with a design on the handle. It is an off white in color with a couple small fleabites and 1 really small nearly unnoticable crack near handle. Markings include the Kensington knot with letters"K P B" inside it. ANTIQUE FLOW BLUE CHAMBER POT 1890'S FULLY MARKED PURCHASED IN ENGLAND IN 1968
Up for auction is an antique chamber pot in flow blue made in the 1890's. It was purchased by me in London in an antique store in 1968. The original price tag is still with the pot. I didn't know at the time what I was buying and thought it was some kind of vase. In my travels in England later on I discovered its nature because I stayed in some hotels that had chamber pots under the beds. It was used as a vase for many years. The dimensions are: circumference at the lip; 8.5 inches; circumference at the lower bulge; 9.25 inches; height; 5.5 inches. It is in excellent condition having only small ding on the underside of the bulge. About 3 mm long. It was originally gilded, but most of the gilding has been worn off. Hopefully someone will recognize the name on the bottom and can identify where this antique chamber pot came from. English- backstamp on the bottom reads. Francis Sparks of the West, 144 Oxford Street, London W. Excellent condition and believed to be ironstone although it does not indicate this on the bottom. Large at 9" in diameter at the top and 5 1/4" tall. Excellent condition with a half dime size rough and discolored spot on the inside near where the handle meets the base. And a very tiny, very old nick in the rim. Trimmed in shiny gold glaze with very slight wear. Trimmed more with gold on the handle and one circle around the body of the base.

FOR SALE: A gorgeous antique bedroom set. Pitcher. Wash basin and chamber pot with cover are in excellent condition, remarkable for their age, no chips or cracks and only the slightest discoloring. The beautiful pattern is called'Phlox' and my photos don't do justice to its rich yet delicate colors. The pitcher measures 11" tall x 8" wide x 5" diameter at the top. Wash basin: 5 1/2" tall x 15 1/4" diameter. The chamber pot: 5 1/4" tall x 9" diameter at the top. Age unknown but my best guess is mid to late 19th c. A wonderful addition to any collection, and frankly, as useful now as when first made. It does not have any manufacturer marking, and we believe it dates to the 1850 to 1900 time period. The Chamber Pot is 5 inches high with a rim diameter of 8-7/8 inches. The rim has a slightly ruffled edge with 8 ... moreslight curves inwards. The Chamber Pot shows wear to the Gold trim which is about 80 percent intact on the body. But only 10 percent intact at the rim and handle. It has some glaze imperfections with some scuffing to the base where it sits. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs, and the overall condition is very good(see pictures above) This is a gorgeous antique Chamber Pot. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection! Up for auction from the estate of a New York designer is an antique Minton chamber pot with a pink border a gold leaf rim and gold flower design. This charming piece was imported by Davis Collamore& Co. of New York. It measures 5 inches high and 9 1/4 inches in diameter. And is in good vintage condition. The handle is perfectly intact. I got this antique ironstone chamber pot from an estate sale in Ohio. This was quite dirty and I cleaned it up some. It had a note taped inside that I will send along with it. It tells who it belonged to and has it dated 1824. One side of the pot has some black stains that look like mildew. It isn't pitted. So it's possible this may come out with further cleaning. These gorgeous pieces of Royal Vitreous were made by John Maddock and Sons. In England, circa 1860. The pattern is POPPY. The background is white with a lot of gold, and the poppies in bright deep blue. The ewer is 11 inches tall. And measures 9 1/2 inches from the edge of the handle to the tip of the spout. The top opening is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The widest part of the body measures 7 1/2 inches. Trimmed in gold at the upper edges. The chamber pot.
