It's a party with elegantly dressed and coifed Lords and Ladies conversing while servants offer refreshment. On the opposing side is a lovely longtailed songbird in a rose thicket surrounded by butterflies. Both scenes are topped by raised golden lizards with long tails. The handles are green opposing or"kissing kitties" The"walls" dividing the scenes feature 2 pairs of scaled google eyed coy fish and abundant flora decoration. The surface of the lamps has a wonderful slightly raised texture where the paints were applied. The photos do not do proper justice to these fabulous lamps! They are large. Measuring 16 1/2" to the top of the vase and 9" wide. The mounts are antique brass and the bases are footed chinese wood stands in dark brown. I have just replaced sockets in both lamps and they function beautifully. The shades shown are not included in this auction but if you want them, I will include them in a separate box for an additional $100.00 plus shipping. In my opinion, these lamps really should have large custom made tall drum shades. This pair was purchased from a wealthy estate in South Beach about 10 years ago and are VERY FINE. I do not know the exact age and I am not going to take them apart to see the markings on the bottom of the vases. Ebay limits the number of photos to 12. 3 ANTIQUE VINTAGE CAST IRON & GLASS BALL FURNITURE CLAW FEET
Up for auction are 3 antique/vintage cast iron claw feet for furniture. I am not a subject matter expert. they come from the estate of an elderly couple and could have belonged to one of their parents. Not sure of their history! They are claw shaped and have a glass ball. Each measures about 3 3/8" long and 1 1/8" across the opening. There is one hole on the side but no screws. They are a rusty orange color. not sure if that is original or they were painted that way. there is some of that color on the glass balls. Vintage eames era mid century wooden 21 inch taper stool table furniture legs
For sale is a set of four vintage eames era skinny taper(sometimes called pencil shape) 21 inch furniture legs. I removed these from a midcentury piece that was in bad shape that I couldn't use but the legs were in excellent shape. The legs are about 2 inches wide at widest section(top) and go down to about 1/2 inch across at bottom. The legs are a dark stained wood and in great shape. They have the screws on top and the metal plates for connecting to your stool or table. The metal connectors have two holes for the legs to be screwed into(one puts the legs at an angle. The other allows them to placed vertically-straight up and down. You even get the screws to put the metal connectors to furniture piece! Vintage lot of 5 Furniture Casters, Coasters, Porcelain, Glass, Silver, Rubber
This auction is for 5 vintage coasters or casters for furniture. 1. The glass one has a lot of wear and it is 3 inches across it is heavy. If you look closely at the picture it shows that it has a blemish on the glass which was when it was made the one side is like"melted" wavy down a groove sort of thing. It is unique with that. 2. This is a porcelain pottery caster/coaster it measures 2 3/4 inches. It is shiny and solid. Heavy, on the back side it has E 8, I dont know what the means, but that is what it has, I have shown this in the picture. 3. This coaster caster is a lighter reddish brown rubber material. It has groves and a wavy patter in the groove, on the back it has VELVA in an oval and above that I cant read looks like VAN. PR. INC. below the oval it has BROOKLYN, NY USA; This measures 2 1/2 inches across. 4. This coaster ... morecaster is a dark brown rubber and hard. It has a graduated within to the center, and it has on the back no mark just a spiral raised line from the center out to the edge. This measures about 2 inches across. 5. This last coaster caster item is silver plate metal it is a square shape. It has 4 peg legs. On the back it has in a circle going around it has VAN BERGH SILVERPLATE ROCHESTER NY USA, and in the center of the circle QUADRUPLE PLATE, out side of the circle it has what looks like 1.00. On the outside border it has what looks like swirling leaves, petals and flowers. I have tried to show this all in the photos. They all show wear as they were all used for furniture. Four Vintage Glass knobs for furniture Threaded fitting art deco 1930s
Here we have four solid cut glass knobs with threaded scew fittings all in one single mould. There is three the same and one has a slightly different design but they are all from the 1930s possibly earlier. The overall condition is good apart from a couple of internal blemishes and the threads are a little rough but it does not affect the use. They measure 5 cms in diameter and 3 1/2 cms in depth without the thread and 6 cms with the thread. I accept paypal and will post as soon as monies have cleared.
