This is a bed I purchased for my son many years ago. It is well worn but extremely sturdy and stable. The knobs/pegs for the ropes were not on the bed when we purchased it so we modified it to accept a standard double mattress. A piece of sturdy plywood sits on the wooden supports that have been attached to the bed frame. The plywood is included in this sale. The mattress rests on the full width of the bed to accept a standard double. Using the side rails as additional support. It could be used"as is" or refinished. The bed size is 72 in long by 54 in wide. The headboard is 34.5 in tall and the footboard is 25 in tall. I'm not sure of the type of wood used in the bed.
