This is a gorgeous almost queen-size period empire sleigh bed that dates from the 1860s era. We did some touch ups and repairs on the veneer chips in the shop. And sanded it down and re-sprayed the whole bed. It has its original bolt-in rails, and it measures 60 inches wide by 78 inches long on the inside. A queen-size bed is usually 80 inches long. If you want the bed extended, we will put an extension on the end of the rail for you at no charge to make it a modern-day queen-size. The outside dimensions are 63 inches wide, 32 inches on the footboard, and 43 inches on the headboard. It’s a beautiful bed that’s all set to go. The headboard measures 44 1/2" high. The foot board is 29" high by 54" wide by 2 1/2" deep. This is a full size set. There are no side rails. Each piece has holes on the inside for the side rails. The screw holes are 3 3/4" apart from top to bottom. The set is in excellent condition with just 3 to 4 light scratches on front of headboard. This set is very sturdy and made well.
