ANTIQUE ENGLISH WHITE IRONSTONE CHAMBER POT ~ WOOD & SONS
A chamber pot was a bowl-shaped container with a handle kept in the bedroom under a bed or in the cabinet of a nightstand before there were indoor bathrooms. This white ironstone pot was made in Trent. England by Wood& Sons around 1910. The Royal Arms marking was used during that period of time on their ironstone pieces(see marking on the bottom) In very good shape considering age and use. No chips or cracks. We use these ironstone pots/bowls for display in the center of a table filled with pine cones, or on the counter filled with fresh fruit/veggies. Measures 14 inches in diameter and 5 inches deep. ANTIQUE c1896 WOOD & SON Semi Porcelain CHAMBER POT England TRILBY Blue & White
This Wood& Son Trilby chamber pot is in excellent condition. Wood" Son" vs and"Sons" dates this piece between 1891& 1907. Other than a superficial shallow chip on base where it sits no damage. Very clean with very little wear. It is the Trilby pattern in blue. It stands about 5 1/4" high with a rim diameter of 8 1/2" and about 11" from far side to handle. It weighs 2 lbs 10 ounces. A very nice antique. I have taken photos from several sides and angles. Please view them as they often speak for themselves. Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding.
