Description Comes from an estate. Owner visited Japan several times and had relatives living there. I've been told this is a map of Edo(before it was Tokyo) which would be the years 1610 to 1860. I'm assuming this is a reproduction of an actual map. The condition is so"new" looking that I don't think this is an actual map from that many years ago. It measures 32" x 44" It comes folded in a nice cardstock folder which has Japanese Kenji characters on both sides- probably giving more information about the item. I noticed the map is actually two pieces of paper glued together(that's the way it was manufactured) The map is entirely in Japanese Kenji characters- nothing in English.
