Please be aware that these Road Maps are anywhere from 10 to 90 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So some of the maps you are buying will be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders and foldlines of the maps may also have tears. On occasion maps may smell musty from the way they have been stored in the past. When the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in time. Here is the Official Map of Mashaska County Iowa. It shows primary. County and township road systems. It was copyrighted in 1929. It was made by A M Hovey Oskaloosa Iowa. It is checked by the County Engineer and approved by the Board of Supervisors. It measures 19 inches by 16 inches. There are a couple small holes along the center crease. Also, two small tears on the bottom edge. Otherwise, it is in wonderful condition. The largest town is Oskaloosa. It also shows New Sharon and Fremont Iowa.
