The material placed around the top may need to be glued again at the seam soon and there is a very tiny bit of glue showing just at the seam. There is a tiny amount of discoloration of the inside lining at the top and one place on the inside lining farther down which could be a glue stain. The fabric around the top was not put in place evenly and shows just a bit of the lining along part of the top. This could probably be fixed by anyone with a little craft know how. The lampshade as a whole appears to be in good condition and is still extremely cute.

A double-sided page with boldly colored maps of Nebraska on one side and Nevada on the other side. From an atlas by the renowned George F. Cram Company. Most antique and vintage maps have subdued shades. But these maps have rich colors that will really stand out framed. Because the maps are printed back to back. Only one can be displayed at a time. An original page from a 1960s atlas. Not a reprint or copy. Condition: Very good. The pages was just a bit big for the scanner. So part of the margin does not show in the image. But they came out of a loose leaf binder that has a copyright date of 1919, see above scan of copyright date. Map will come carefully rolled in kraft paper and inside a strong pvc mailing tube. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So some of the maps you are buying will be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders and foldlines of the maps may also have tears. On occasion maps may smell musty from the way they have been stored in the past. When the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in time. Beautiful vintage 1947 World Book Encyclopedia map Nebraska colorful work of art
This is a map of Nebraska from the limited printing of the 1947 post-war edition of the World Book Encyclopedia. It Is really a pretty map; the colors are bright. The printing is crisp, and it is in great condition. This map is a 2-page spread disbound from the encyclopedia. It was tipped in using a separate little tongue of paper, so the map itself was not cut as it was removed. There is a crease down the center where it was folded in the book. The map was a little too big to fit on my scanner, so not all of it is shown in the scan. It has a white border all the way around it. The map is 9 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches. The altitude is color-coded, from green for the lowest altitude through yellow and orange to red for the highest altitude. I don't know much about maps, so I don't know how this one was made. It has an old-fashioned ... morelithographed look to it, but I think I can see dots when I look at it through a magnifying glass. On the back of the map Nebraska towns are listed with their location and population(circa 1947) This is such a nice-looking map! It would look great framed.
