The map is Copyright 1883 by Harper& Brothers, Revised to 1884 and is from a geography book dated 1887. It is guaranteed authentic-it is not a later reprint or copy of any kind. This map has a school lesson right along with it and more related text and small illustration on the reverse side. This map is tipped in with original center fold as issued-the open size is 13 3/4" x 8 3/4" It is in good to very good condition. There is a darker 1/4" line at center where it is tipped in with a bit of damage at the left margin. The margin has light staining and a couple ... morevery small darker stains at upper and lower right corners. The paper remains sturdy. The map has very attractive coloring and age toning which adds to its antique appeal. Please enlarge the pictures for the best description. The age toning is slightly darker and more even toned than the photos indicate. This map will be placed in an archival protective sleeve and shipped in a sturdy cardboard reinforced envelope. We have one pc from San Francisco postmarked 1906. It has a tear and crease on the top left and also a piece out of it on the left corner. One from San Jacinto. CA, it also has 2 tears. There are 2 from Kansas, Main St. Hutchinson and New Mormon Salt Plant, Hutchinson. They both have some wear on the corners from being in a photo album. There are 3 from Arkansas. The E.S. Crossett Club, Crossett, Crossett Lumber Mill, and an Industrial View, Crossett. They are in pretty good shape with a little edge wear.
