You are looking at a great old map of the state of Kansas with a copyright of 1909. This map was made by"The KENYON Printing& MFG. Company" that specifically says. Map Makers" they were located in Des Moines, Iowa. This is not just a great map with an Art Nouveau twist to it(the front cover with woman's face on it) but it is also an ADVERTISING twist to it. This map was"Compliments of Kingery Realty Co. in Thomas County of Kingery, Kansas. The Rooster and Chick on the inside of the cover have a cute conversation poem trying to convince people(farmers) to come to Thomas County for great crops. The state map is colored and is well done. You can see in the photos, that the map has some rips and tears to the edges. I think that there may be some old car grease or oil which you can see by the stain on the photos.
