Antique Heavy Duty Set Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers w/ 8' Track Blacksmith Nails
A very nice piece this is an antique set of two heavy duty barn door rollers complete with it's original 8' track and 13 blacksmith made nails we pulled out of the barn when we took everything down. It is complete and ready to install but some of the nails need straightened and the one roller wheel has a broken flange and it will need to be replaced. This is very simple to do. Drill or grind off the one rivet head I am pointing two and the wheel just slips out. You will need another similar 3" wheel to take its place, I would think a 3" pulley bought here on Ebay or at a home improvement store will work perfect. I am listing this as a 24 hour auction starting at half the price of the others here on Ebay. If it doesnt sell I am going to replace the $8 wheel and it will sell for much more. It doesnt matter what it looks like ... morebecause it will never be seen when the door is on the track. This was in a 120 year old barn that was recently torn down and while it has a rusty patina on the track, the doors at one time were painted red then white as those colors are on the rollers. The nails are very brittle so be gentle straightening them out. You set the price on this one as it goes to the last bidder! Antique / Vintage Cast Iron Myers Stay On Adjustable Barn Door Rollers Trolley
Up for auction is a used pair of antique cast iron Myers stay-on barn door rollers/trolley in good condition. One of the rollers has a minor crack on the back side just above the stay-on hook shown in the last picture. This in no way has anything to do with how well the roller works or with nor does it weaken the frame at all. The stay-on hook was designed to hook the bottom of the track to keep the roller from jumping off in case the door took a hop or in heavy wind. The roller will work perfectly with this minor crack. The raised cast letters are clear and easy to read. They have been lightly cleaned. Both hangers are solid with no rust through. Both rollers turn freely. Antique/Vintage Big 4 National Mfg. Co. Barn Door Rollers & 9' of Track 109 inch
For sale we have a nice antique pair of"BIG 4" barn door Rollers and Track. The track is made up of one six foot cast iron piece and one three foot cast iron piece with the male& female puzzle knotches on each end of both. So the total track length measures slightly over 9 feet. Track is solid, rollers pivot and pulley wheels turn well. Replaced the one C.I. wheel in the one as the existing wheel had been cracked in the back of it. New C.I. wheel is 3-1/2" diameter while the Big 4 with the original wheel is only 3" diameter so when mounting on your door you will have to make the 1/2" adjustment. Nice rust patina throughout. Track had been painted light grey at one time when they re-painted the Barn. This is the real thing not a modern reproduction! Pair of antique cast iron barn door rollers/ trolleys. The hangers are about 15 1/2" tall and the wheels are about 7 1/2" in diameter and are very similar in size and style but are not identical. One of the spokes has a crack and they have wear typical of something like this that is 100 years old. I don't see any definitive markings regarding date or manufacturer. a pair of louden"roll easy" brand barn door rollers that are in very good working condition. The roller wheel on the left has what I would call a very small casting flaw on the outer edge of the wheel. It just looks like it missing a small chip[ 1/8" by 1/8" and it does not affect the wheels performance in any way. Other than that they have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely like they should. They come with 4 original good working bolts and square nuts. The door hanger straps are for a door 1 3/4" thick. There are 2 pcs of louden brand track[ one 6' pc and one 8' pc] The 6' pc has a rail connector pc on the left end of it to connect it to the 8' pc. Both pcs of track are good and straight and both pcs come with all of the original cast steel wall brackets there and well connected. ... moreThe wall brackets hold the rail out 1 1/2" from the wall. The rail measures 1 1/4" by 3/16" thick. I did carefully clean up all of this hardware trying to not remove too much of the"age" off the surface. AWESOME SET OF ANTIQUE BARN DOOR ROLLERS J.O. & CO. READING, PA.((LOOK))
Up for auction we have an awesome pair of antique barn door rollers! The rollers are marked J.O. Co. Reading. PA. It looks as though the rollers were painted beige on the lower part and some remains of black paint on the tops of the rollers. I had another set of these same rollers that I sold on Ebay a few days ago, this is the last set that I have. The rollers measure 13 inches in length and the part that bolted to the barn door measures 4 1/2 inches across. As you can see from the photos for what ever reason the embossing on the roller on the right is somewhat weak but still readable. I cleaned these rollers with a soft brass brush, soap and water, then clear coated the rollers with spray enamel. The rollers are in very nice stable condition, no breaks cracks or repairs. Please use the Supersize Feature on our pictures at the top and below the description as we consider them to be a very important part of our auctions- our photos show great detail and they are about the next best thing to"being there" Here is a really nice early pair of antique cast iron barn door rollers manufactured by F.E. Myers. These rollers are both marked on one side with: MYERS STAYON ADJUSTABLE. ASHLAND O. USA. and on the other side with the patent date of: 1888. Each roller is complete with no replacement parts– although there is one missing nut on the bottom bolt in one of the triangular brackets. All of the nuts and bolts move freely and so do all four pulley wheels. Each roller mechanism weighs in at about 4 lbs. Is 12” long from top to bottom and 7” wide across the top wheel housings. Each door mounting bracket is ... more6 ¼” long, 4” wide across the top and 1” wide across the bottom. The plates spread apart to allow of a thickness of about 2” with the original bolts in place. These barn door rollers have only been wiped down with a dry cloth. The mounting plates and some of the bolts so have some old paint on them– green and gray. The raised lettering is easy to read. There are no breaks. Cracks, or repairs anywhere on these rollers. Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have– I am always happy to answer!
