I do this to place modestly priced objects of excellent value as well as to occasionally meet a new collector. The objects offered are from items I have either been consigned over the past year or items I have kept over the past 10-20 years simply in storage. As some of you may remember or be aware I have well over 20 years of experience as a specialist in early Southeast Asian forms. I am presenting these pieces after having carefully examined them over a substantial period of time and am 100% confident in the dating I will give to each piece. Most of these pieces were acquired n the 1970- 1980s and the pieces range in age from 650-1000+ years old. Some of these ... morepieces are small which will be auctioned off at set reserves. There are also some wonderful larger pieces that will be sold at excellent values. This offering is a wonderful Burmese female deity MEASURING 7 ½ INCHES IN HEIGHT and dating to the 18-19th century. This superb figure has a typical Burmese diadem with three triangular accents atop the diadem. She has a lovely face. Arched eyebrows, and large round earrings. There is long reptilian–like decoration wrapped around her shoulders that terminates on the verso at her waist where one sees a small snake head. She stands leaning to her proper left holding a long lotus flower in her right hand and clutching the stem in her left. Below her waist there is intricate looped and hanging decoration that matches her necklace. She stands on a circular pedestal with round accents on the rim. Her patina is a deep natural chocolate color that is simply gorgeous. The patina is uncleaned and untouched original condition. Please note the small loss of one of the lotus petals.
