Rare Important Neo Greco Victorian Renaissance Marble Top Credenza Herter
Absolutely stunning American made credenza in the style of Herter or Pottier and Stymus of NY. It's just a great looking. Very well constructed piece of American furniture that is on the open market. Serpentine sides and abundant bronze work adorn this one. The plaques on the door are very heavy and the castings are well done in solid Bronze. The statuary marble on top looks to be flawless and is very clean for it's age, circa 1865-75. Interior is a high grade, tight grain mahogany and is clean also. A very elegant English George III mahogany bowfront sideboard with dazzling cross-banded satinwood top and three line inlays. Circa 1800, with the rare inclusion of the original“lion’s head” pulls. The drawers repeat the pattern of the top and are accented with corresponding exuberant satinwood borders. The case rest on six tapered legs that terminate in spade feet. Ancient, old surface with outstanding patina, untouched by time with no notable repairs. The sideboard is from the Early Empire period. And was hand made. The primary wood is walnut, with secondary wood of southern pine. It is from the 1830's- 1840's, and was made in the South. It came from the estate of the Hendrix family in Bohman, Georgia. The top, legs and balusters are beautifully carved of solid walnut. The joints are intricately dove-tailed together by hand. This Buffet belonged to my wife's Great Great Grand Father. Who came to Stillwater Oklahoma in 1888 just before the landrun. His name was Jim Johns he helped with the founding of Stillwater and had the third business in Stillwater. Jim Johns Livery and Auctioneer. He was also the first Justice of the Peace in Stillwater and ran for two terms. After settling in Stillwater he bought his Furniture from helmers and had it shipped here, which shoud have been between 1890-1900. We also have all of the documentation to prove when he came to Stillwater, we have all of his property tax receipts. Because of the size and weight it is listed as local pick up only, but if someone wants it we can make arrangements for shipping at your expence. With new pictures at time of shipping to assure you it will still be in the condition it is now.

For your bidding consideration today. We have a fabulous child size side board. This piece is made of oak, with a drawer and two doors at the bottom. There is a mirror on her top, with a shelf and a possible candle holder on each side. The top of the piece is curved,with bulls eye type accents below the curve. The doors also have the same type of bulls eye on each door. The piece is in good antique condition with age appropriate wear and use. There are some age related flaws, such as finish wear, corner nicks at wear scattered throughout, a repair on one door at the top, the mirror is probably a replacement. The knobs on the drawer are missing, but the knobs on the doors are plain wood, so it should be easy to find replacements for the drawer. There is some worm hole damage here and there, mostly on the inside, but a few spots on the exterior ... moretoo. The backsplash is unusual in being a broken arch with reeded chimneys, the splash showing a vibrant flame veneer. The top is one board, except the bow center is another board. There are three drawers over four doors. The center doors open to a compartment with a single straight stationary shelf, the side compartments with a concave front stationary shelf. The brass knobs and escutcheons are original, most of the brass locks on reverse are new. The four front turned legs have brass booties. The center drawer interior has later felt lining for flatware. Sideboard measures 4'1" 49-1/2" tall by 6'1" 73" wide by 26" deep at center. The top board has several horizontal shrinkage cracks. The top dowel pinned on ... morethe ends. A very fine solid stripped mahogany antique. Circa 1890's, Louis XVI style server. The front legs are carved with a top scroll rosette and acanthus leaves, and with paw feet. The platform base is shelf as well as stretcher. Two curved front drawers with flame mahogany veneers, the case sides also flame mahogany veneers. The top boards are solid stripped mahogany. The drawer interiors are yellow stained mahogany boards. Server measures 4'10" 58-1/2" wide by 36" tall by 2'1" 25-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: original finish, no cracks to solid mahogany, crazing to the veneers on the case sides. Minor chip to top edge board on side. Some scratches on top boards, as expected.

It is in incredible condition. English Regency Style Mahogany Sideboard on Spade Feet c. Antique 19th Century
ENGLISH REGENCY STYLE MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD OF DIMINUTIVE PROPORTIONS A highly desirable size at only 48 3/8" wide Predominantly c. 1st Quarter of the 19th Century Item# 1408ZSQ10A An outstanding piece for anyone with a smaller dining space. This piece is probably at least somewhat altered in order to make it more desirable for such areas. We would assume it was altered or composed during the late 19th Century using a period sideboard from the first years of the 19th Century, lending it all of the patina and vivid craftsmanship we cherish in period objects while allowing it to be suitable for the modern dining room of that era. Few period sideboards are of the right size to aesthetically work with the average dining room, but this piece is of the perfect dimensions to do so. The craftsmanship is impeccable with bold and well selected crotch ... moremahogany veneers on the drawer and flanking doors. These protected by cockbead molding around the edges and over the hand dovetailing of the drawer. The cast Lion Mask pulls are correct for the period but are later replacements using the same holes. The frame from beneath shows the exposed dovetailing that joins the frame permanently, the entire piece resting over tapered legs on spade feet. While this is not a good choice for the purist collector. It is an absolutely fabulous sideboard for anyone with a more petite dining room space who loves the warmth and wear of a early objects. It is in outstanding condition and will certainly be a cherished part of your dining room for a lifetime. Measurements: 48 3/8" W x 23 3/8" D x 36 1/8" H Condition Report: Probably at least partially altered using 19th Century components. Elizabethan Solid Wood, Antique, Heavily Carved Buffet / Sideboard / Cabinet
At more than 9.5' wide. 6' tall, and 23" deep this massive decorative Brazilian oak(So I have been told) piece is absolutely amazing to look at. I recently moved from an much larger house and really do not have the room for this any more. This is HEAVILY carved and EXTREMELY detailed. The top section comes off for moving. But the bottom half will require at least 4-6 men to move it. This piece has 7 locking doors. 4 drawers and 9 beautifully carved unique outdoor scenes. There is one shelf running the length of the top and one behind the doors on the bottom. This is all hand-made. It truly must be seen to be fully appreciated. I am not sure of the age. But one professional assessment put it in the Elizabethan period. There are no obvious markings indicating origin or age. Overall the piece is in very very good condition. There ... moreare two areas of damage. On the very top there is a crack and some damage on the underside of the top concealed behind the right pillar.
