There is a short top shelf above the backsplash mirror. The mirror appears to be original and it does have some slight fogging and freckling. The backsplash mirror is beveled and flanked by“S” corbels supporting the upper shelf. The base has 4 drawers and 2 doors all with wood knob pulls. The two top drawers are bow front. The drawer on the left is lined with faded green velvet and divided into 3 sections. The drawers all have dovetail construction and glide in and out easily. The doors hide open storage. Casters sit beneath the large curved Empire style feet on all 4 legs. This piece does have some nicks and scuffs from the years however it is in overall great condition. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This buffet measures 55 1/8 inches tall. 61 ¾ inches side to side and 25 3/8 inches front to back. This fine 19th century piece offers early hand-cut dovetailed ends on the drawers. Powerful S scroll front shelf supports, ring turned back supports, a large crotch mahogany stretcher shelf and C scroll front feet. Its features beautiful classic lines of the Empire period. This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. Drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are chamfered. The columns are like double ended C scrolls and the feet are simple.typical mid 1800's Empire Revival piece. Height to top = 40 1/2" Width = 57" Depth at deepest = 24" The lock sets are original. They are the"same" lockset in that they are both either left handed or right handed as the key needs to be reversed to work each lock. They lock easily. The key has been replaced. It's tiger oak exterior is sooo beautiful. They just dont make furniture like they used to. This buffet(or sideboard) has extraordinary detail. Yet at the same time is simple and elegant. A straight cut top blends into the rolled front silverware and napkin drawers, curved front linen drawer, and bottom doors that conceal your finest china. The beautifully rolled legs go all the way down the sides for a majestic appearance. Brass knobs match brass key holes on all three drawers that lock away your special things for just the right occasion. One key fits all three drawers and it IS included. That's right, we DO have the original Eagle Lock Co. key! The silverware drawer ... moreis divided into three sections and is lined with the original green velvet. The napkin and linen drawers are not lined. The linen drawers offers tons of space so you can be sure all of your treasured tablecloths will fit. Two doors open on the bottom to reveal a large storage space that is more than adequate for your finest china. On the sides of the buffet you will find more gorgeous Tiger Oak and straight back legs that go from the top to the bottom of the buffet for a strong support. The back is finished with standard plywood and is original to the piece. Originally there was a top for the buffet but I do not have that piece, and to be quite honest I think the piece works much better with today's decor without the top. As you can see in the photos, the finish overall is nice, but it does have some nicks and chips in a few places, as can be expected with a piece that is almost 200 years old. It was refinished at some point. The discoloration on the sides is far less noticeable than it appears in the photos. Structurally, the buffet is in great shape, very strong. Antique Empire Style Buffet Dresser Storage
This was the piece that I had the most fun with. I used 16- SIXTEEN- different Annie Sloan chalk paint colors to get this effect. Plus Crackle Tex. Clear and dark wax. So. The story behind this piece is. Well, firstly it's massive. It is the great beast of all furniture. 60"x 26 1/2" x 42" and solid. It looks like wood, but I think it's really granite. It is that heavy. Two pull out drawers on top with ceramic Anthropologie knobs, one massive pull out drawer underneath, and two doors opening to full storage. I bought this from a really cool woman in Portland. You know the kind- just naturally hip. With the groove going on. She had been given it by a friend(I bet who was even cooler! when the friend moved to an Ashram in Portland. Apparently, each of the rooms had a buffet like this! Gawd, that would make me want to ... moredo yoga! It's kinda ironic because the buffet. As big as it is, was the natural dark wood stain. You would think that they would want light, bright colors(perhaps this is why they gave it away) All I can think of is that somewhere in deepest darkest North Portland there is an Ashram filled with antique buffets. That just makes me want to do a Down Dog Split with Open Hips, just thinking about it. I have this listed on my facebook page(ThePaintFactory) as a buffet. But one of my friends posted that she could see this as a changing table in a nursery. I think this is a STATEMENT piece, with endless possibilities. Could still work with traditional antiques, could totally work in a contemporary space, neutral and fun enough for storage in a kids room. Your imagination is your only limitation. A beautiful Honduran mahogany buffet/sideboard made by the Grand Rapids Chair Company. My parents bought this in 1957 at an estate sale. They refinished to lighten the color and show the grain of the wood in polyurethane. Top drawer and the two side doors can lock with the original key provided. The back rail was removed and not refinished(as seen in one of the pictures) The rail mounts with provided holes and pegs. Ample storage in dovetailed drawers and cupboard spaces. Buffet is 72" long by 26.25" by 37"tall. All 3 drawers are 31" long by 20" then vary in depth ranging from 5.25" on top drawer to 7" on bottom drawer. Side doors measure 23" high by 12" Each inside space with out the shelf insert measures 17" across by 20" deep and 23" high. Beautiful Circa 1830-1840 Antique American Empire Buffet Server Flame Mahogany
This is a Beautiful Form Antique American Empire Circa 1830- 1840 Dining Room Server in Striking Flame Mahogany Veneer. The piece has wonderful curved top drawers with hardware. There is no key present, I believe the knobs are original. The doors swing out to reveal a large interior. There has been a small repair to the back left top as shown, a triangular repair to the corner. There is a modern door latch as shown. The server measures 44 1/2" tall, 43 1/8" wide and 20 1/4" deep at the top. The feet make the server measure 23 1/3" deep at the bottom. Antique American Made Empire Walnut Sideboard Buffet Server. 1830's-1840's.
The sideboard is from the Early Empire period. And was hand made. The primary wood is walnut, with secondary wood of southern pine. It is from the 1830's- 1840's, and was made in the South. It came from the estate of the Hendrix family in Bowman, Georgia. The top, legs and balusters are beautifully carved of solid walnut. The joints are intricately dove-tailed together by hand. The drawers and doors are walnut veneers over pine. It measures 44"50" in height, 60" in length, and 21"23" in depth. With its classic design and beautiful luster, the sideboard or server would be outstanding in traditional or modern settings. Shipping can be arranged. With seller paying packing and insurance.

Updated with milk paint(MMS Shutter Gray) I designed and drew the painted design making this a unique piece. Finished with white wax. It has a new pine top that was lightly stained and sealed with 2 coats of clear wax. Inside has been painted white and the drawers lined with heavy paper and sealed with Modpodge. Best Flame Mahogany Antique 1840 -1850 Small Period Empire Server Buffet Table
Offered is a very nice 2 door server in possible mid 1800s empire style with scrolled fee and columns. This piece is quite unique because of its size: 36 inches length. 17.5 inches depth, and 29.5 inches height. I get enough questions and interest in cabinets of this shape but most of them are quite a bit larger in length and somewhat in height and depth. So, enough people are looking for a size that will fit that special place in their home. I hope this small rare size does the trick. The piece is sturdy and in very good shape. That's alright, you wont know the difference when you see it. Please note this piece is somewhat darker then some of the pictures show due to camera flash. It has been a great piece in my home.
