Although it looks like it has two tambour doors, there is an extra deep drawer in the base with a simulated drawer in the front. The outside drawers are all reverse curved with picture frame molding and a beautiful embossed eagle, and formal style brass hardware. The two inside drawers have serpentine fronts. It’s a gorgeous piece of obviously high quality, although we don‘t see a brand name on it. It’s solid mahogany and the top has been re-sprayed in a medium gloss finish to reveal the grains of the solid wood used in this sideboard. We are pleased to offer this stunning antique American hepplewhite mahogany sideboard to the market. The maker of this is unknown and there are no tags on it. Made from mahogany and mahogany veneer. This is a solid piece that can be used in multiple rooms and for multiple purposes. Because of its' size. This is a great piece to hold a flat screen tv. It measures 36 5/8" high x 45 11/15" wide x 18 5/8" deep. This has a single drawer over a pair of cupboard doors. The doors have a lock and a key. The lock is not working properly(or it is the wrong key) This has a cross banded top and the doors have an inlaid fan medallion made with satinwood. The drawer has dove tail joints and the original brass hardware. It has a spade foot with pinstripe inlay. The pinstripe inlay is also seen on the front columns. Solid/Veneer Mahogany Huntboard/Sideboard, Custom Made, Very Good to Excellent
Here is a custom-made(bench-made) mahogany huntboard/sideboard in a rich. Dark mahogany finish. The piece is very well made, with a panel on each end and lovely trifid feet on the front. The piece is 66" long, 21" deep, and 33" high. It has been well cared for, but a small chip in the veneer at the left front corner has been repaired; a real woodworker could make it virtually invisible. In the center on the right side, there is a tiny chip in the veneer. The finish on this piece is very fine-not furniture-store or piano-top slick, but handrubbed to show the grain of the wood. Please note the fine banding on the drawer fronts. I hate to part with this piece. But it's too large for my space. I'm not equipped to ship it, but TSC Movers(tscmoving.com) will give a fair price for shipping. The sideboard features fabulous inlays in satinwood and boxwood, and rounded side cabinets. The top is plum pudding mahogany with satinwood banding and boxwood inlays. Secondary wood is oak. It is 73" wide by 28" deep by 37" high. The finish is in good condition, old, but not original, and it is slightly sun-bleached. The hardware(not original but very cool) is unusual, being bronzed satyr heads with ring pulls. The locks are all intact but there is no key. Gourgeous inlaid mahogany Federal style sideboard. This contemporary reproduction has all of the hallmarks of one of these iconic pieces. The gracefully curved bow front shape is supported by slender tapered square legs. Contrasting inlay work decorates the drawer fronts and cabinet doors and cascades down the front in a series of bell-shaped flowers. The top drawer has been sectioned off and lined with green velvet. There is a serial number on the back of the piece. But there are no maker's marks. This piece is in very good condition. There is some light wear associated with use but no damage. Breaks or visible reapirs. The sideboard measures an impressive 68.5" 5'8.5" long and stands 37" tall. Sturdy overall condition, Trevor. Page and Co. is an English furniture making company that started around 1913 and is still in business today. They make quality furniture, mostly dining room sets. This mahogany sideboard was made by Trevor, Page and Co sometime around 1960 and it is a very good representation of the quality company they are. The ... moreserpentine front shape is not too subtle or too pronounced, and makes this buffet very appealing. Both cabinet doors lock with included key. Inside the right cabinet door is the Trevor, Page and Co label. Both middle drawers are constructed with dovetailed joints, a good sign of the high quality construction that went into this piece. The mahogany has developed a lovely patina over the years and is accented with a beautiful mahogany crossband around the top and doors and a subtle satinwood string inlay. The six tapered legs are quite sturdy and end in strong spade feet. The pulls are a solid brass ring pull. There is some minor wear to the top as you can see from the pictures, in the form of minor discolorations here and there. Otherwise this sideboard is in very good condition and sturdy enough for every day use! With two drawers and two cabinets there is plenty of storage space in this sideboard. Here is the makers label. Dovetailed drawer joints. You can see some of the minor discoloration to the top here. You can also see how nicely shaped the front of the piece is. The crossbanding around the top is a lovely touch.
