1929 Antique Dining Set with Sideboard/Buffet
From the research that we have done this is a table made in Wabash IN in 1929. It is made by B. Walters and as you can see in the pictures it has a patent on it for having the sliding leaves in it. the leaves slide right under the top for easy access and storage. This is believed to be the original fabric on the chairs.we removed over 5 layers of fabric and the last 2 layers were tacked on. The fabric shows minimal wear and needs a good cleaning. But we wanted to leave in its original comdition and let the new owner make that call. this set was a one owner set and we bought this from an estate sale. Table is 31in H x 38in W x 60inL(86inL with leaves) The set is almost flawless. All drawers and cabinets open with ease, no noise etc. The chairs are all in great shape except the Captains chair once had a small fracture in the back side of the ... morearm about 2 inches, which has been fixed. This Berkey& Gay dining set consists of a 3-leaf table. 8 chairs, 1 china hutch, 1 buffet and 1 sideboard. It is made of walnut, with many sections being bookmatched figured walnut- absolutely beautiful. All pieces are matching, and feature the metal medallion used in Berkey& Gay's furniture from the 1920's-1940's. Our best guess is that these pieces were made in the 20's. They're in excellent condition for this vintage. You'll see some very slight damage, shown in the last 4 photos. Antique 1929 Cherry Wood Dining Set Table Chairs Buffet Hutch vintage 9 Piece !!
I am the 2nd owner of this nice vintage dining room set-I bought it from the estate of a lady that purchased it new in 1929. Original tags still attached-reads-made by Bernhardt Furniture Co. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece ... morethat measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic-could be buffed/polished-I leave that to the new owner-totally useable as is. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. This listing is for the beautiful antique Victorian golden oak sidebar/buffet/china cabinet one piece unit with 7 drawer s that I have pictured for you. We have used it in our home for many years as an entertainment center and bookshelves/doll display area. The drawers have been used to store DVDs. VHS tapes, books, DVD player, as well as other things. The unit is 79 inches wide at the top. The end panels extend out from the wall 17 inches. The shelf where the TV is placed is 23 inches wide and it bows out in the center(pictured for you) The TV pic tur ed is a 32 inch flat screen and allows for the opening of both bookcase doors. There are 4 applied trim pieces formed of plaster along the top of the unit and I have pictured each one for you so you can see where there is damage to 3 of them. The pulls on the drawers are original to the piece ... moreas are the two latches to the doors of the bookcases. The bookcase doors are each 50" high by 16 1/2" wide. Both bookcase doors have the original wavy glass. The back of both bookcase sections is wains cote oak as is the inside piece of each bookcase. kAs pictured. There are two shelves in each bookcase; there are two additional shelves stored in the bottom center drawer of the unit. Dimensions of the drawers follows: two are 11" by 17" three are 24 1/2" by 17" and two are 16 1/2" by 13 1/4" The bevel edge mirror is in an area 24 1/2" wide. There are small holes drilled at the back of this area to allow the wiring for the TV and the DVD player and the USB cord for the TV to be brought in from the backside. The center section shelf extends outward from the base display case 5 inches at each sides and approximately 7 inches in the center(due to the bowed design) The piece is very heavy and will require 2 men to remove it from our residence after the drawers and glass doors are removed from the unit. We are pleased to offer this INCREDIBLE set! This offering features 8 pieces of ORIGINAL. Antique, French Country(Brittany) carved wood. The set includes 5 dining chairs, 2 piece hutch and buffet, and exceptional slide or pull out leaf dining table. All of the pieces feature twist leg design. The chairs have carved figural backs. The buffet features a center, carved figural feature with two side compartments. The leaded glass front hutch features two center panels of green stained glass with gold leaf painted figures. The hutch sits freely on top of the buffet with no attachment screws. Ornate hardware and notched, carved details are also present on the buffet and hutch. The hutch and buffet doors retain the original locks and there is one original key that opens and locks them all. The table top is held in place with a large dowel or peg ... moreand lifts completely off to reveal the intricate workings of the slide-out extension leaves. The table has a carved wood stretcher that has been carved to fit securely.it is not attached with nails or screws. The chairs have old, red leather or vinyl covered seats. The set is in remarkable condition for its age. There is expected age and wear to the table top. There is a small area that has been filled with wood putty at some point(see picture 12) The table top could be lightly sanded and varnished and it would look practically new. It is quite stunning as it is because the antique character is striking. The extension side leaves slide easily and are working properly. There is one old peg under the table top that is missing but the one remaining holds the top quite securely. The chairs are very sturdy and the leather/vinyl coverings are free of rips. Tears, etc. The seat springs are in good condition as well. The padding is worn and you can feel the bounce of the springs when you sit on the chairs. Table dates to 1940's. Table is mahogany and in good condition. There are five side chairs and one arm chair included. All are in good condition. There is one 12 inch table leaf. The buffet is mahogany but has some scratches on top which would require refinishing. Measurements are Table 64 inches long by 42 inches wide. Leaf adds another 12 inches to the length. This is an 1800s antique hutch I am listing for my parents. It was being used by a friend of theirs to display antiques at a quilt shop. This is completely restored with all original pieces except the hardware and a part of the back. The mirror in the center top has to be removed to fit through the doorway. I have the dimensions 20" Wide 66 1/2" length and 84" high to the top of the mirror. 70" without the mirror. This has glass in the doors and we have the glass but it was removed to move the cabinet and can be left out for you to move it or can be installed back in the cabinet. This lovely rosewood dining room set has been in the family since Great-Grandfather's time. It was imported from Hong Kong in 1964. We have the original paperwork on it. Rare Antique German French Country Dining Room Buffet Cabinet
This auction is for a rare antique carved wood French Country style dining room buffet cabinet. This is a gorgeous piece with beautiful wood and lots of hand-carved details. It features two pieces that fit one on top of the other(the buffet and the cabinet) with long dowels. It has glass on three sides of the cabinet with carved wood elements that span the glass. It has three drawers in the lower buffet with two cupboards on either side. It stands 60" wide at the base and is 64" wide at the top. It measures 74" top at it highest point and is 18" deep. The cabinet portion is 48" tall from the base to the top of the display. I'm not sure what kind of medium-toned wood was used. Antique Solid Wood Buffet and China Dining Room (1920 - 1950)
These pieces are original solid wood. Fully working drawers, glass door china cabinet, and buffet. Some surface scratching and light markings from years of maturing. The skeleton key still works the lock. Original wood without any modification or touch up. These have been in my family since new and I remember them from when I was a child. I do not know the age but easily from before the 1960s. 1940's Antique dining room table and chairs with buffet server
Early 1940's dining room set. Mahogany? Not sure but that would be my guess. Chairs are the shieldback style with a floral design. Table has a protective mat included. 6 chairs. All in pretty good shape. Not perfect. But still good. I can take more pictures if there is anything specific you would like to see better. Or you can come take a look in person if you would like. It's a beautiful set, but we have another table that we have decided to use instead. Local pickup only, I can help load. antique brickwede bros dining table and buffet ( Local Pick Up)
This is a Brickwede bros dinette set. Table 5 chairs and a buffet.It was made in Marietta OH 1840-1917. These were made from hand cut wood. They have been revarnished and original seat covers changed. The table has scratches but is not in the wood. The spring that holds one of the side folding leaf is a little week so it sags a little. That would be a easy fix.The table has claw feet. The buffet is in excellent shape. Has original handles. For being over 150 years old it's in pretty good condition.

Early 1930's AH Stiehl antique mahogany sideboard/buffet server. Solid wood. Not veneer. All original hardware and key included. Intricate pull design. Beautifully carved with large deep drawers. Long top drawer does not close completely. Unfinished back and some of the trim pieces have fallen off. But are included. I am selling this for a friend who inherited it from his grandmother. This piece is in good overall condition for its age and has always been in a smoke and pet free home. It does have some condition issues like scratches and fading. Could use a complete restoration. Measures 60" wide. 43" high and 23" deep. Local pick up only. Buyer must make arrangements to have this moved and or picked up on their own. Jacobean antique dining table, chairs, and buffet beautiful, lots of carving
Up for is a beautiful Jacobean oak dining room table. 6 chairs, and a buffet. There are 5 chairs and 1 arm chair. The table has leaves at each end that slide out from under the top. The whole set was refinished at some point and the chairs professionally recovered. There are some small issues with the table top. there is a dark stained area and small area in a corner where the veneer delaminated prior to the refinishing. These should be able to be seen in the pics. I am not sure of the exact age but it is believed to be from the 40's or 50'sPlease feel free to ask any questions. I am only selling be cause the room is being remodeled and I no longer need the set. It has 6 matching chairs that have gorgeous upholstery. A lovely ornately sculpted hutch 63 in high and 40 inch wide with glass front and locking cabinet. The 66 inch long gorgeous buffet is 40 inches high with end cabinet door and pull out door and an additional 3.5 inch ornate sculpted accent back board.
