The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. Being offered for sale is this very Large Victorian Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet with Carved North Wind Faces. Brass North Wind Pulls and Carved Paw Feet circa 1895. This outstanding 19th century sideboard features an abundance of detailed carvings from top to bottom and has three working keys, the original beveled mirrors and the original ornate brass hardware. This sideboard measures a total height from the floor to the top of the carved pediment at the back of 80 inches. With a height to the base at the front of 37 3/4 inches, total width of 59 1/2 inches and depth at the base portion of 24 inches and this massive sideboard weighs approximately 250 lbs and does disassemble into 2 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf measures 59 inches wide by 13 inches deep and is 21 1/2 inches in height from the ... moretop of the base. This tiger oak sideboard is very solid and tight and has a gorgeous presence. The three keys work the locks on the drawers(one key for each drawer) but neither of the keys work the locks on the cabinet doors. The top right drawer does have divided compartments for flatware with newer green felt lining. We believe the large beveled mirrors to be original or at least antique replacements and there is some light spotting and some mild silver loss as common in old mirrors. The top mirror does show a small fracture in the bottom right corner that appears to have been there for sometime and not a major issue in my opinion but there. I have a close up picture of this area. Being offered for sale is this fabulous Southern Empire Victorian Transitional Solid Walnut Sideboard with A Fine Chimney Back-splash and detailed fruit carvings circa 1850's. This mid 19th century sideboard has all the wonderful craftsmanship one expects from 19th century pieces and this one is positively beautiful. This sideboard measures 58 inches tall from the floor to the top of the sides of the chimney back-splash. 48 inches in height to the top of the front,62 1/2 inches wide and 25 3/4 inches deep and weighs approximately 200 lbs. All of the locks are intact on this piece but the key provided just aids in opening the doors at the base. For auction is a large Victorian hunter sideboard that is 7 1/2 feet tall and 54" wide. It is missing one key escutcheon as seen in the close-up picture. The marble top is in good shape. Being presented for sale is this Superb Victorian Walnut& Burl walnut Brown Marble Top Mirrored back Sideboard/ Buffet with carved Lion heads circa 1880. This 19th century piece is just gorgeous and would surely be a beautiful focal point in your home. This is a impressive sideboard with gorgeous spoon carvings. Finials, carved Lion heads,burl walnut panel accents and a fancy carved scroll and shell gallery as well as the original beautiful brown marble top and the original brass hardware and early dove-tailed ends on the drawers. This sideboard/ buffet measures a total height of 82 1/2 inches( 6 ft 10 1/2 in) to the top of the carvings on the very top center. Height from the floor to the top of the brown marble measures 36 1/2 inches,with a total width of 48 1/4 inches and a depth at the base of 21 1/2 inches and this pieces weighs approximately ... more250 lbs. This sideboard does dis-assemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf above the marble measures 26 inches in height above the marble top and the shelf measures 43 inches wide by 11 inches deep.The larger mirror measures 19 inches high by 33 inches wide, and the three mirrors at the top each measure 10 inches wide by 6 inches high. This is a fabulous piece in wonderful antique condition and the original brown marble top is also just beautiful with no apologies we can find. All the locks are intact but the key provided just aids in opening the cabinet doors and does not work the locks. There is a small piece of carving missing on the left side of the pediment inside of one of the scrolls. I have shown a close-up of in the pictures and appears to have been missing for a long time.nothing major in my opinion and definitely doesn't distract from the beauty of this gorgeous 19th century piece. Wonderful wood salesman sample Queen Anne buffet/sideboard from an estate in Iowa. The buffet measures 19" tall. 14" wide and 7 1/2" deep. The buffet has a drawer and double doors on the bottom. They all work well. The top has a shelf and places for mini oil lamps. The top has a piece of wavy glass in it. It is a piece that is very ornate. This piece is in very good condition without damage. The top has shapely openwork galleries dovetailed together and graduated spool turned posts ending in delicate finials.The shelves and base are framed with decorative beaded arrow design moldings. This beautiful 19th century sideboard features a wonderful highly carved crest with flowers. Leaves& berries, bullseye type roundels,the original gorgeous rose marble, burl walnut panels and the original brass drawer pulls with engraved woman in a canoe with rope bails. We believe the mirror to be original to the piece which does have a minor amount of cloudiness in a few spots and the drawers feature period dove-tailed ends. This sideboard/ buffet does dis-assemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. We believe this piece to be mahogany and has early hand-cut dovetailed ends on the drawer.A chamfered lower back and has been painted at some point in time a beautiful lacquered black that really showcases the fabulous gold ormolu decorations and the white and grey veined marble top. Note the Lion Face in the middle of the Ormolu at the top and the gorgeous gold shelf supports that rest on the marble top plus the Laurel wreath pulls! This piece measures 76 inches tall.49 1/2 inches wide and 19 inches deep.
