Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Antique Dark Oak Side Board
Beautiful Dark Oak Side Board- 1960. It has 3 top drawers, 2 doors, with shelf inside. It is in very good condition. It might need a bit of cosmetic, there are a couple of tiny splint on the drawer door and side; plus the top is a little scratched and will need varnishing/polishing perhaps to restore it, if you want it looking like new. Most of the scratches was there when I bought it years ago from antique shop.

This is an absolutely magnificent painted antique Victorian mirror backed sideboard. This amazing piece of furniture dates from around the 1890's and is made from solid Walnut. So is extremely heavy. It's an incredibly well made piece of period furniture and has masses of storage making it really useful. It consists of 5 drawers and four cupboards as illustrated in the pictures. Some of the drawers are lined with baize and some aren't. There is a large cupboard on either side that flank two smaller cupboard doors in the middle. It has all it's original brass fixtures and fittings. Although there are locks, we no longer have a key. It has a beautiful mirrored back that consists of 3 quality beveled edged mirrors that are framed by 2 dimensional Corinthian columns. Gorgeous Antique French shabby chic sideboard, buffet cabinet in Annie Sloan
Absolutely gorgeous antique French? Shabby chic, country sideboard or buffet cabinet made of oak. A real gem& stunning. There is one large drawer with 2 knobs, which has a removable inset to divide the drawer into 2 sections. There appear to have been one or two further insets which are no longer there. The cupboard has 2 shelves.I have painted the exterior(excluding back) and the interior of the doors in 3 coats of Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint& then tastefully distressed it to highlight the beautiful carvings& to give it a shabby chic look. It has then been given a good coat of Annie Sloan clear wax to preserve it for many years to come.I have left the back in it's original condition(please see pictures to see raised splits which do not affect the solid craftsmanship) to maintain the history of the item. The inside of ... morethe large drawer& 2 shelves have also been untouched. The thick oak shelves are lovely& have been beautifully made. The sideboard is a work of craftsmanship with beautiful carved features to the drawer inside& outside of the door panels, the front legs, the bottom plinth& the side panels.The doors close(the left one having an old spring claw-like catch) but have no key or handles. They open without the need of handles& both doors stay closed once shut. For auction here is a lovely example of a 19th century antique walnut buffet sideboard used in dining rooms and large kitchens for storing and displaying your china. As you can see it has a lovely patination. Quality fielded and carved panels along with nicely balustraded shelves, the drawers are fully oak lined. The top of the sideboard has opened up a little( see photo) due to shrinkage commensurate with a piece of furniture of this age but does not affect its function. This pine sideboard came from an old house in Cumbria. No idea how old it is but similar ones are usually described as Victorian. It is 1.74m long x 0.59m wide x 0.82m high. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. Exquisite Antique Marble Top Buffet
The pictures do not do this piece justice. This is a beautiful buffet. The marble is 2" think. The color of it you do not see much any more. There are a couple small places where the veneer is cracking a little. The bottom piece is solid wood with veneer and brass. I would prefer local pickup but can ship freight if buyer makes arrangements. This piece is about 300 lbs, but the marble comes off.

The top section with column supported shelf has a broken pediment type crest having finial, and spindel gallery. The marble is a meander of gray and cream in a chestnut brown color. The case has two long drawers over a two doored compartment. Fancy brass handles to all oak interior drawers, the doors with carved lion heads on tablets. Includes the lock and key. it measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4'3" 51" wide by 20" deep. the top shelf 7" deep. Below the case is a column supported long shelf over bun feet. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, original dark finish. The marble slab is without cracks or chips.

Stunning Victorian mirrored sideboard or server. This ornate piece features carved decorations cresting each of its three sections. The center section has a large arched mirror with beveled edges. To each side of it are smaller oval beveled mirrors surrounded by filigree inlay and framed by turned columns. Each side section also features a small shelf over a larger serving area with molded edges. While the center section is slightly recessed and has been covered with beautiful rose-colored marble. Below the serving surfaces are two dovetail-jointed drawers with decorative brass bail handle pulls incised with geometric designs that resemble ankhs. The bottom half of this piece features three spacious cabinets, each framed by turned columns and with a mirrored and inlaid door that is opened with a key. Antique Victorian Burl Walnut Marble Top Server c. 1800's Sideboard Buffet
Gorgeous Victorian era marble top server or sideboard. This beautiful piece has been capped with a gray and white marble top with rounded corners. The server show signs of high-quality construction including a paneled back and sides and sturdy dovetail joint drawers. The two drawers have fluted edges surrounding burl walnut inlay. Pressed brass pulls with a sun-like like design and silver-friendly linings. The lower cabinet has two doors, each with a burl walnut panel framed in a molded edge. The ring shaped pulls and brass escutcheons are made from brass. This piece most likely dates from the late 19th century. No maker's marks. The server is in good antique condition with some small holes in the marble top. See pictured example. The locks have been removed. But are being stored in one of the drawers and could probably be easily reinstalled ... moreby the buyer. Otherwise, there is only light wear commensurate with age and use. Antique Sideboard Circa 1865, Original Mirror, Hardware, Beautiful Condition
This Circa 1865 Sideboard is really beautiful. I had it restored to it's original beauty. It is very solid and hand carved with Brass handles- all original. The mirror is original. Size is approximately 51" Wide X 77" High X 25" Deep. I am not sure of the wood type. But I believe it is either Mahogany or Walnut. This is a work of art by a wonderful craftsman. The Drawers are hand cut in front and pegged in back. I had this piece restored and paid over $2500 for the restoration alone. This piece is valued at $4200. This is a sacrifice. American Federal Style Mahogany Antique Sideboard of Small Size c. 1890-1920

LIGHTING AMERICAN FEDERAL STYLE MAHOGANY ANTIQUE SIDEBOARD OF PETITE DIMENSIONS Late 19th to Early 20th Century Item# 1404EQR14-Q Of particular note in this attractive Centennial reproduction is the delightful size- measuring just under 48" in width. It is a wonderful scaled-down example after the originals of a century prior. Throughout the surface, a warm mellowing and patina have developed quite nicely, the result being an overall presentation that is quite above reproach. It is angular with outstanding lines, these accentuated by the fruitwood stringer inlay in each panel and door, bellflowers inlaid above the front two tapered legs. The drawer retains it's first pair of brass knobs, the sides hand dovetailed and the bottom ... moresliding into the sides in routed grooves on either side. It has a wealth of cabinet space, the middle cabinet divided with a single shelf in the interior. This is a fine reproduction for a classical or Federal dining room where space is a challenge and size of furnishings is of important consideration. Well preserved and extremely attractive. This piece allows you to bring early American appeal to the dining room without dominating the space. Measurements: 47 5/8" wide x 17 5/8" deep x 35 3/4" high Condition Report: No key- the right cabinet door swings open when not locked. Light scuffs and dings throughout to the surface: legs with light wear. The top with minor scratches and a darkened area. Repaired crack beside hinge of left-central swinging door, a pair of screws used on the inside to restore this permanently. Slight warp to the right door, not particularly noteworthy.
