This line is by far and away the best the Stanley offered in the era. In my ... moreopinion. I am selling the matching gentleman's dresser, or highboy, separately. Both pieces have been refinished, but missing veneer work was not done, so, as you can see in pics 4& 8 there is slight edge veneer loss at the front side corners. In pic 5 you can barely see that the veneer has been re-glued. There are a few nicks here and there, and there are hardware circles around a couple of the drawer pulls, where the handles have been rotated and made a circle in the wood around. The hardware, as well as the design, makes this piece much more eye catching, with steel pulls and horizontal rosewood tips on each pull. This piece measures 54" x 32" x 18" deep. There are 6 drawers. Shipping will be done via freight or local pick up. If you live near Orlando(32804)I can deliver for free. If you live outside of Orlando please message me for a fuel charge. This is a fabulous vintage 60s dark walnut hutch made by Basic Witz in Waynesboro. VA. This hutch is 2 pieces, a credenza with a 2 door cupboard on top. The inside of the top cupboard has 3 shelves with plate notches on the backs of the shelves. The credenza doors have rattan on the fronts. This hutch is top quality fine craftsmanship that you find in high end mid century furniture. The hutch measures 66" tall, 48" wide and it is 15" deep. It is in excellent condition. On close inspection it shows some normal vintage scuffs and wear but no abuse. There is wear to the handle notches on the top cupboard which can't be seen with the doors closed. The legs also show some scuffing. The inside bottoms of the drawers have some ink marks. The top of the credenza shows slightly darker where the top cupboard has been sitting on it ... morefor 50+ years. Great midcentury modern style on this server or credenza. I believe this wood is walnut. The door panels are covered with beautifully grained walnut in mint condition on one side and somewhat worn cane on the other. The panels can be removed so that you can recover them with whatever you want- cane. Fabric, cork, original artwork, etc. I showed this in the last few pictures. Top surface is laminated and one area is faded from some kind of rectangular object. As I showed in one photo. There is an unobtrusive scratch on two drawer fronts which is shallow enough to sand out if you wanted to refinish them. Otherwise this is in excellent condition. This is really solid, well-made, heavy furniture. This would be great for a large tv. It also looks really classy in an office-you can hide the printer. The interior has a fixed shelf. The columns are full carved and burled. The handles are also carved wood. The condition is excellent. One of the cabinet doors is slightly warped but still works perfectly. The finish is beautiful and the color warm and consistent. In 15 years, this is the first of it's kind that I've had the opportunity to own. This is a true antique. A fine piece of furniture. It would go nicely in any decor. DESCRIPTION: Bidding is for an antique late 1800s Walnut Burl Credenza with beautiful hand carved trim and dome-shaped fruit-carved mirror. The glass cabinets have been lined with red velvet by previous owner. The fabric is only tacked in and can be easily removed. All three doors lock with the same key. Glass is original and without cracks or chips. The left side door trim is chipped at the tip top of the fleur de lis(see photo) But this was done very long ago, as the wood has a patina from being exposed. The serpentine top is original but previous owner refinished it(see photo) There are several minor nicks and scratches as viewed in the photos.
