Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction tenor saxophone (vintage, France, like Selmer)
I bought this vintage Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction tenor saxophone in 1996 from a teacher at my high school. It was her son's. And she'd purchased it from her son's school who was liquidating its instrumental music program. The name, St. Anne Hamner" is engraved on the horn. The school, apparently, was a catholic school in the suburbs of Sudbury, Ontario. I used it for one year in high school band, until I purchased my Selmer Mark VI saxophone. The serial number is 167XX. The saxophone is well-loved. There is visible oxidization. Scratching, welding, and dinging. See pictures. I've tried to be as honest as possible in my portrayal of the instrument. There's no denying that this is a vintage piece with honest wear over the years. The saxophone is a good mechanical condition. The leather pads show minimal wear. Partially ... morebecause they lack tone resonators- those plastic pads that partially cover most saxophones' pads- it has a really nice. Dark tone to it. It's definitely darker than my 1958 Mark VI, and feels like a saxophone in the same peer range. Though it does play, and the pads are in good condition, I want to emphasize that this is being sold as-is. Due to the nature of vintage gear, this may require tweaking and you may wish to repair it to your own tastes. The bell, as you can see, has dings, and the bottom of the horn has some flattening. There are some visible welding marks. Again, to reiterate, this is a used vintage piece. This saxophone comes with a worn-in case. Which is pictured in the photographs. When shipping, I will protect the saxophone within the case using packing supplies, and then double-box the case. It will be $40 flat-rate shipping via USPS and a tracking number in the USA, unless the bidder prefers an alternate method, in which case we'll negotiate shipping upon checkout. Hand carved doors and drawers with original handles still attached. One of the handles has broken off. But we still have the handle if you wanted to fix it. The serial number is 63498, which\ is stamped on the upper joint, I do not see a serial number stamped on the lower joint, all keys, posts and tenon rings were power buffed to bring the plating back to its original luster, all tenon corks were replaced, all key corks were replaced, all springs were checked for correct tension, if they were weak\broken, they were replaced, bladder pads were installed in the upper joint and in the lower joint, there are no major cracks\chips anywhere on this clarinet, it does have some minor scratches on the backside of the clarinet, right by the thumb rest and by the serial number areas, the tenons have no chips\cracks in them, the case is a MBT plastic hard case, there is no mouthpiece included. Vintage Buffet clarinet with Low E Flat key
Nice old vintage and rare 1947 Buffet Crampon clarinet(ser. 33xxx. This one has the articulated G#C# key as well as low Eb. Extra trill key for G# Eb and low G# as well. It is in good playing order. There is a small hole in the upper joint that does not go through the instrument and there are a small chips in the bell. None of these effect the sound of the instrument. the original case is old, but still in good working order, These clarinets were popular in their day- one could play all of the A clarinet parts on it since it went down to low Eb.

Vintage 1949 Buffet Crampon Clarinet, Great Condition
This is a Buffet Crampon clarinet from 1949 with serial number 39345. It has a most beautiful sound. But is a bit sharp in the low end. I finished a music degree at Humber College in Toronto some 10 years ago, and studied with some of the foremost saxophone players there including Pat LaBarbera. I played in Toronto and on cruise ships for two years after which I went back to school to study physics and am now involved in epilepsy research at the University of Toronto. Although I love this clarinet, I don't have the time to play it at the moment, and would like to see it in good hands. I have been assured by a respected repair shop here(Taplin-Weir) that the clarinet is in great condition with good wood, although it looks as though the bell may have been cracked in the past and repaired. Vintage Evette Schaeffer Bb Clarinet by Buffet-K Series-Overhauled!
SquareTrade © AP6.0 Offered is a vintage Evette Schaeffer Bb clarinet made by Buffet Crampon. Paris, France c.1954. Serial number K11666. The K Series began around 1953 during the Golden Age of Buffet musical instruments when Paul Evette and Ernst Schaeffer owned the company. According to the Buffet website, the Evette Schaeffer clarinet is almost identical to to the famed professional R-13. The only discernible differences are in the right hand pinky keys. There is also rumor that slightly flawed wood was saved for making the Evette Schaeffer model. Still identical to the R-13 in it's polycylindrical bore and undercut tone holes on the bottom joint. A far superior model to the modern E-13 which retails for over $1800. This Evette Schaeffer is in excellent condition considering its age. The wood is tight grained and well oiled. The ... morekeys are nickel plated with some heavy wear on the right hand key touches. The rest of the plating is about 65% intact. Mechanically in excellent condition. ANTIQUE BUFFET WOOD CLARINET. Late 1800's. All New Repad! Vintage! Professional!
OLDER ANTIQUE BUFFET WOOD CLARINET. Late 1800's we think. At the bottom of the lower tenon. It might possibly read"1L- and then the number is rubbed out. It really looks like a"1" as the first prefix, and then the rest is almost all rubbed out. This could put it anywhere from about 1891-1898. You can see the Buffet logo(Buffet"Paris" on both tenons, but NOT on the barrel or the bell. The barrel measures(on our set of calipers) the same bore size as the upper tenon(89.5 to 90) so it may be original; it also has very similar color and texture. Not sure about the bell, however. Also the bell has a line of smoothed over nicks across it. The upper tenon has been pinned near the top, right above the wrap around octave key; check the one picture out for this. This clarinet does play well. It has been serviced by a professional ... morerepairman and Completely repadded by us with all new pads-white. Corks and felts. Vintage, Evette Schaeffer Buffet-Crampon, Professional Grade Clarinet
The clarinet is an"K" series as you can see by the serial number. And was made in Paris instead of Germany. It was purchased for me by my grandparents in 1955 from House of Woodwinds in Oakland. I have used it throughout high school and have played professionally with the Oakland Light Opera summer series in Stern Grove. I haven't played it for years, but last time I checked it had no internal cracks within the"bore" of the clarinet. It would need repading and a cork job to bring it back up to professional standards. Also, as picture shows, there is a crack on the tip of the bell. The case(as I understand it) is non-tarnishing chromium and the handles and feet are an off-white Bakelite. I believe the power cord may be its original(but. Vintage mid-century walnut hutch w/matching buffet
This furniture is located in Felton. Delaware and must be picked up there. Vintage mid-century walnut two-piece hutch with matching serving buffet. I believe this is called Danish modern, not sure of exact age but these were in my parent's house since the early 1960's. I can't find any manufacturer names but it is marked Walnut on the back, probably walnut veneer. Both pieces have wicker/rattan like inserts. The hutch stands approx. 74 inches high, is 60 inches wide and 18 inches deep. The cart is 41 inches long with the end leaves folded and 66 inches long with the leaves extended. The hutch is missing the glass in one door but it is flat glass, an easy replacement. Buffet has some wear, a few scratches and a couple of chips on the top, missing one door pull. I purchased this fine lot of vintage Clarinet items from an estate in Scottsdale Az. I am not an expert in this field. So will share to the best of my ability. Buffet Carrying case in very nice condition which locks and has both keys. The clarinet in the Buffet case is a vintage ARTIST PENZEL MUELLER made in NY. NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! BE AWARE. I MAKE NO CLAMIS AS TO WHAT MODEL THIS CLARINET IS. I am a musician. Guitar and keys. I have been around music all my life. I am now a collector, trader, and seller of musical instruments. I have done much research. But have failed to truly identify this Clarinet. A small bit of information I can give, is that I, at one time I was a partner in small town music store and this instrument was given to me. It was brought in by and elderly women. Whose husband used to play this Clarinet. After he passed away, she just brought it into her local music shop, as many people do, across the country, and gave it away. I am being led to believe this is a rare R13. At that time. I would loan this instrument out to a local child taking lessons at school, who could not afford to pay for a newer rental. Fortunately it was ... morealways taken care of, and never returned damaged. A couple years it was returned in better condition than when I loaned it out. Thin key just above the only hole located on the back of the instrument. This is the register key. Beside the top of the register key should be a marking that Buffet uses to identify the model of the clarinet. All Buffet clarinets come stamped with the basic, round logo, so any other distinguishing marks can be used for identification. If there is a letter followed by a number, such as B12" or"E11, stamped below the emblem, this is the model of your clarinet. Check below the emblem for a small. Metal plaque or a marking that appears to have held such a plaque at one time. Buffet uses these plaques to identify modern, professional-grade clarinets. The metal ring at the bell flair spins. The barrel looks like a lighter shade of wood. But it is marked Martin Freres 1740. You can barely make it out. But at the top of the bell, someone lightly carved some small initials. The mouthpiece is unmarked in fine condition with ligature and a Buffet Crampon cap. I used it very few times and it has been stored away several years. I did have one of the legs on the stand welded(photo 1) and I decided not repaint the stand. It has a small amount of rust but easy to clean and repaint.

Vintage Pre R13 Buffet B Flat Clarinet
This is a 48.Xxx serial number Buffet Crampon professional clarinet made in 1948. This is a Pre-R13 clarinet. It has not been played for many years. I have had it cleaned up a bit and all the keys are moving well and there are no cracks in the wood anywhere. This instrument plays enough to tell that it has excellent potential, but it will need new corks and pads. This is a typical instrument for this time period, with similar age models used in many professional orchestras. This one has a 68MM barrel to help keep the pitch close to A-440. It shows potential and is an excellent buy for the money! It comes with the original Buffet case which is worn, but quite functional. Here are 2 vintage clarinets. I was told they are from the 20's early 30's era. I am not a clarinet expert. So I will describe the best I can. The smaller clarinet is about 19" long and has the mouth piece, no metal brackets to hold the reed. The larger one is a C. Fischer N.Y. made in France. This clarinet has no mouth- piece.
