For auction is a Vintage Buffet Crampton Saxaphone#1538 and Case bought at an estate auction. I am unfamiliar with Saxaphones so the pictures will have to be the description. The valves on the Saxaphone seems to open and close.the finish is worn off in places. Scuffed and scratched with only one very small dent on the back side of the Saxaphone, that I could find. The case is solid and has seen plenty of wear with rips/ tears on the outside and no keys for the locks on the side. It does have a seperate Clarinet case that stores in it. The metal bracket aroung the mouth piece reads Buffet Crampon France. The mouthpiece itself reads Buffet Crampon Paris and has A2B 17 5 106 stamped in it. The mouthpiece cover reads Buffet Crampon Cie A Paris. Some of the cork needs to be replaced. There is a crack in one of the pieces as seen in the pictures. There are some scratches on the mouthpiece where the bracket has been taken off and on. The serial number is 81704 and from what I see online, that dates it to 1964-1966. Here is quite a rare mouthpiece. It is a Buffet in wood for soprano sax. I've examined it closely and taken detailed photos and you can see it is in fine original con dition with som e age appropriate w ear that is pretty much only cosmetic. It is hard for me to say th e age of this piece. I f it were a 20's/30's vintage I would expect it to say Evette Schaeffer and not Buffet Crampon. The shank too reminds me of a more modern design so I am thinking 40's or 50's as a guess. It is very cl osed with a 42 facing. Vintage '73-74 Evette Schaeffer Buffet E13 Clarinet Paris - Excellent Condition
For auction is a vintage Evette& Schaeffer Buffet model e13 clarinet. According to the serial number of"K332* And the clarinetpages.net website, this clarinet was produced sometime in 1973 or 74. For an instrument this age it is in wonderful shape, and whoever owned it must have taken great care with it. No cracks in the wood or loose rings. The cork is in great shape, and the pads are in decent, but played condition. The clarinet has one issue. However. The E and F# keys at the top of the bottom joint have paper shims in their rod pins. I imagine the loosened over the years, or encountered some kind of repair. They work as they should, albeit maybe a little looser than they would have felt originally. The fourth and fifth photos in the listing depict the shims. The clarinet has no spring issues whatsoever. It is in 100% playable ... morecondition. Vintage Buffet-Crampon C Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece Refaced by Scott Kurtzweil. You are bidding on vintage Buffet“C” Bb clarinet mouthpiece customized by Scott Kurtzweil. This mouthpiece was originally manufactured from a Chedeville blank and exhibits the traditional“1 up/ 3 down” line configuration associated with those blanks. This mouthpiece now features my personal facing and has had the baffle and sidewalls slightly reshaped to offer a more immediate response with greater tonal focus and superior intonation. The 1.0 6mm tip and medium facing(17mm) is a medium design that allows the player excellent control but remains very free blowing. This mouthpiece works extremely well with medium heavy to heavy reeds(3.5– 4) strength reeds. The response of this piece is quick and clean and the sound is flexible yet easily centered. This is a vintage 1950's Buffet Grenindella pro model wood clarinet in used condition. This was my grandfather's clarinet and has been in a case for over 40 years. It is in need of new pads and cork. Normal wear and tear on nickel keys. The wood is in very good condition with no cracks or splits; the logos are worn from polishing and age. The Pieces are mixed: The horn is Buffet/Crampon/Paris. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece ... morethat measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic-could be buffed/polished-I leave that to the new owner-totally useable as is. If I missed something-please ask. It is so well done, and the Linen fabric is so wonderful, it very well could be MADEIRA. The main embroidery is of butterflies. Tiny flowers and vines. My grandfather purchased this Buffet& Cramponclarinet in 1937(S/N 224XX) for my father was a young musician withprofessional aspirations. My grandfatherpaid in unheard of $650 to purchase this rare(today) instrument. It is a B-flat clarinet made of granadillawood and has. I believe, nickel plated keys. In 1937. Buffet-Crampon did not have a‘professional’ model designationin those years. The B-C emblem is oneach piece but the paint has worn off through the years. Dad always pointed out the Cory commercial coffee makers to me when we went to snack shops and greasy spoons. This was so that he could demonstrate the parts he made for them. Sisters, and cousins, every one of them owned a set of the pots and pans or other items. I still have and use one of these sets. and they're going to outlive me. After his passing, Mom never hosted anything large enough to justify firing this thing up. It hasn't been used in all these years. It's still in beautiful condition, because Mom had enough sense not to take a brillo pad to it and scratch it up. If you throw large parties or entertain a lot.
