Buffet Professional (1965) Vintage R13 Bb Wooden Clarinet - Chedeville Blank Mp.
Matching serial numbers 84453 indicating a 1965 manufacture. Clarinet is nicely restored and the R13 speaks for itself. Wood is good with no cracks. There are very minor repairs to the lower tenons of each joint. Plating is pretty good. And for the most part, the instrument shines nicely. Clarinet was dismantled, all dirt and grime flushed out. 1964 vintage Buffet R13 clarinet with silverplated keys
This is a vintage"Golden aged" Buffet R13 Bb Clarinet owned by a Texas All-State Clarinetist. It is in fantastic condition and sounds great for its age. One of the best I've seen from the 60's. The instrument is being sold in order to help me afford a newer Bb or A clarinet for college. The barrel does not fit well, so I would recommend you have an extra. It has been recently serviced, and the corks have been replaced so that they can fit newer barrels, and the pads were replaced. The wood is in excellent condition with no cracks.

Body and barrel are in good shape with no cracks; all pads are intact and well-seated for their age, and upper tenon cork is new. A few minor key cork bumpers are missing. Stunning piece Louis IV style buffet or server. This piece could also be used as a table in a small area. Just open up each end as in pic 3 and add chairs and when done close it back up again. Top done in high end wax and top was totally stripped to bare wood and stained in a deep chestnut and sealed with 7 coats of clear gloss that WILL NOT yellow over time. 2 drawers open and close smoothly. Bottom shelf is done in all gold with 2 coats of sealant but not recommended for hot liquids. All hand done by me over a 5 day period. Very labor intensive piece. Beautiful African Blackwood with silver plated keys. This is a beautiful instrument in excellent condition. The silver could use a light polishing. But there is no major blemish anywhere on this instrument. The cork and pads are original, but air-tight(the clarinet was very well cared for, and didn't have that much use. The engraving has the shield of Buffet Crampon Paris and then it is written Evette and Schaeffer Anc Mon Buffet Crampon& Cie. Brevetes SGDG 18 et 20 passage du Gd Cerf.Paris which means: Evette& Schaeffer formely Buffet Crampon and cie house. Patented SGDG, And the address of the company in those years. The instrument number is the 11751 which means it has been made between December of 1896 and july of 1897. For it’s age the saxophone is in pretty good shape. The bell is slightly flattened and there are very few small dings. The few notes I could play sounded nice but of course it needs to be overhauled, one spring is missing and pads are old. Buffet Professional (1972) Vintage R13 Bb Wooden Clarinet - Chedeville Blank Mp.
Matching serial numbers 132035 indicating a 1972 manufacture. Clarinet is nicely restored and the R13 speaks for itself. Wood is good with no cracks except for the bell. While taking pictures. I noticed there was a crack in the bell. It is very tight, even hard to notice, and there is no leaking. In addition, the bell is from an E11 Buffet Clarinet- the mouthpiece, barrel,upper and lower joints are R13. There is some wear to the plating here and there. Clarinet was dismantled, all dirt and grime flushed out. The wood was oiled with almond oil. The instrument was given all new double bladder pads- most by me, and some just before I received the instrument. The tenons are good. Corking and spring action is good, and the clarinet plays with that beautiful buffet sound up and down. The mouthpiece is a Buffet Chedeville blank, and an additional ... moreone with the markings H4C. There is also an additional tuning barrel besides the R13 barrel. The case is is Buffet but from an intermediate model. Please check the pics- this is a very good R13. It plays very beautifully up and down. Comes with everything pictured. I have a gorgeous KINDEL Buffet/ Server/ Sideboard on wheels. This beautiful server is approximately 38 inches long by 20 inches wide by 31 inches tall with the two flaps down and 60 inches long with both flaps up. The center drawer is 32 inches wide by 3 inches deep with its original brass pulls and wheels. The top is not perfect. But it is very nice for its age. VINTAGE BUFFET CRAMPON CLARINET IN CASE SERIAL #29965 NO RESERVE
Up for auction is a VINTAGE BUFFET CRAMPON CLARINET IN CASE SERIAL#29965. In looking at the serial number directory. I believe this clarinet was made between 1946 and 1957; probably the mid to late 40s as serial numbers ended at 28000 in 1945. I do not play the clarinet and really don't know too much about them but this one looks to be in good condition for it's age; I see no cracks. It will need new cork, cleaning, and most likely new pads. In the case there is some cork material, a cleaning rag, and some cork grease. There is also an Elson's Pocket Music Dictionary which was stuck behind the fold down in the case. The case is in good condition as well other than some stitching coming loose on one side. Spectacular Vintage English Silverplate Buffet Food Warmer
Truly magnificent Victorian/Edwardian Heavily Silverplated Buffet food warmer. Measures approx. 12 3/4" x 9 1/4" Deeply relief scalloped edge. Hinged lid with what appears to be an ivory finial. Same ivory handles. Can be removed while piece is polished. Hot water reservoir with screw top closure. Feet are rounded, inverted pyramid type. Bottom stamp: Made in England. Considering it's utilitarian purpose, the piece is in excellent condition. The handles have some surface cracks, but are still very solid. Piece polishes life FINE Silver. 1950s Vintage Buffet Trays w/ The Romance of Fifi and Pepe b Kently Corperation
Offered here is a set of four buffet trays. I believe these are from the 1950s. The address on the back has Grand Rapids 9. Michigan, so they date to before 1965 for sure. They are lithographed with images of"The Romance of Fifi and Pepe" each on is a different scene. They were made by Kenley and are constructed of"carefully selected durable wood fibres, while back and front are covered with a fine, water and alcohol resistant lithographed paper, skillfully fused to the surface" They are actually like pressboard. They are gently used and show a little wear on the edges(see photo) The original box is included but it has seen better days. Each tray measures 17 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches. Superb Buffet R13 "Vintage" Clarinet ~ Made in 2001 ~ "Re-Hydrated" Wood
BACHornDoctor Auction Superb Buffet R13"Vintage" Clarinet! Made in 2001 ~"Re-Hydrated" Wood ~ Hand Polished Keys ~ Superb Condition! Description: The instrument you are looking at here is one of Buffet's R13"Vintage" models made in 2001. For such a nice clarinet. We decided to provide the entire instrument our'Wood Re-Hydration Submersion Treatment' In a nut shell, we submerged the wooden components into a special canister containing a concoction of entirely all natural oils and minerals. Over a specific amount of time the wood was left in this canister submerged to're-hydrate' and rejuvenate the wood. After the submersion process the clarinet spends a length of time drip drying and'sweating' excess oils from the body. Finally, after many series of wiping and swabbing, the wood returns ... moreto the supple condition in which it started. Following the wood treatment process. All of the keys and posts on the instrument were meticulously hand polished and individually cleaned. Our qualified technicians replaced the necessary pads and corks on this instrument, and properly adjusted and regulated the key mechanisms. A portion of the instrument has bladder skin pads, but there are cork pads on the register, G# side Bb, and inline Bb keys on the upper joint. Cork pads can be more costly, and more time consuming to install, but they are much more firm, handle moisture better, and generally last longer. The instrument shows no signs of cracking what-so-ever, and is ready to go! As you can see in the photos. This instrument comes in a sharp looking Protec Slimline case. Also included are two original Buffet Barrels(pictured) This clarinet has a great sonorous sound. It responds very well and speaks clearly throughout the entire range of the instrument. Considering the meticulously restoration. The superb condition, and that it plays so well, you really shouldn't miss out on the bidding!
