A set is comprised of One buffet cabinet and One Hutch. Buyer MUST take both pieces of the set. I will not piece out this item. NO exceptions. Material: Solid Maple. Some of the internal compartments are oak. A very nice item with lots of life left in it! The main base piece has 2 small pull out drawers. 4 medium pull out drawers and 2 cabinet openings with adjustable shelving within them. The hutch has 2 cabinet openings. One pull out drawer and 3 tiers with lots of display space. Sizing: When the hutch is attaches. The whole unit stands 75" tall, 54" wide, and 18" depth. The lower alone is(32½"H. 54"W, 18"D) The Hutch is(~42.5"H, 51¼"W, 10½"D) Condition: Excellent for its age. There is a broken knob on the left cabinet door(base piece) This can easily be replaced. There is slight separation in the panel groove of that same cabinet door with the broken knob. This can also be easily remedied. Part of the panel backing of the main unit needs a couple taps of the hammer. Finally there is some ceiling paint residue on the top panel(out of view) atop the hutch piece. As in the other things. Many uses for this from home office to the living room and beyond. It would be just perfect for your flat panel TV as the height would place your screen right at the perfect eye level when sitting on your sofa or lounge chairs and the three large drawers will hold tons of storage. Two sliding doors open a spacious maple interior with open cabinets on the left and right. A single pull out drawer with original green felt and two adjustable height and/or removable shelvs reside in each side. Note: there are only four shelf pins and eight will be required to hold both shelves simultaneously) Back side is marked with the rare early Hundevad& Co. mark and is Stamped"Made in Denmark. Distinctive oval rounded inset. Sculpted teak pulls. Both doors slide with ease to access items inside. A credenza/ buffet/ sideboard by nature. It would also make an excellent media console and/or HDTV stand. The backing has drilled holes two on the right, one large section taken out on the left and another clean circular ... morehole at the bottom left, to pass cables, etc. The credenza is in overall good original vintage condition. Clean and ready to use. There are some random minor mar marks on the top but grain pattern is so wonderful, it presents wonderfully. These FM pieces were designed to integrate with Kai Kristiansen's FM wall system, so even though this stands on the floor, brackets could be added allowing it fit into the wall upright standards of a system. There is about an 1/8" by 3" high groove visible from the side, but since this area is up against a wall, it is so subtle, nobody would ever notice. Its the perfect piece for a those with limited or hard to fit space but still want the beauty and function of a LONG sleek credenza. There is literally zero footprint on the floor and its narrow depth allows placement in tight areas where most credenzas of this length would never work. Beautifully made of both solid teak and teak veneer over wood. It features a very wide open storage shelf space with two long sliding doors flanked on either side by 6 pull out drawers. Drawers are all felt lined and have lovely integrated teak ill handles. The piece can really take on different looks depending on how you place the doors(see the many many pics below for examples) or you could remove them if you want a ... morenice open display area. This is a very solid and super functional with nice detail and richness to the teak. It mounts to your wall via an integrated teak bar system using five wall anchors/ bolts. The first, the handmade stainless steel John and Sylvia Reid type legs are made from high tensile TIG welded stainless steel(not chrome or painted mild steel) and contrasts beautifully with the natural teak wood. The second feature being the complimentary tri-colour arrangement(Brazil brown-Grey-Arctic white) chosen for the slender drawers and each has a solid deeply coloured teak pull handle. The three shades not only work with each other but also with the sideboards natural wood hues; especially the drawer handles. For over half a century of use the sideboard is in remarkable original order with only minor wear to some edges. This is only light discoloration with no chips or splits. The worktop has one minor scratch to its final finish(pictured) but not the actual teak veneer itself. I feel I have provided the clearest images possible and they provide a good representation of the overall condition. The dimensions are as follows: 162 cm’s Long x 45 cm’s Deep x 80 cm’s High. 1960's Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Sideboard /Buffet Display Cabinet Dyrlund
We have been selling on ebay for over 15 years with 100% Positive Feedback 1960's Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Sideboard& Display Cabinet by Dyrlund of Denmark Up for auction is this extremely well preserved Solid Teak and original mid century Danish Modern Sideboard and Separate Display Cabinet(Made in the 1960's by Dyrlund of Denmark) and inspired by the design of Nils Johnson. This is a larger piece. With the sideboard measuring 87" wide 32" tall and 18" deep. The Display Cabinet sets separately on top of the sideboard with the two notched legs or stands. The display section is 70" wide x 25" high and 12" deep. The overall unit with all pieces in place stands 87" wide x 57" tall x 18" deep. The teak design even follows through to the back of both pieces and is finished. The bottom ... moresideboard has 5 drawers(one felt lined) and two sliding teak front panels. As you can see in photo 1, when the two doors are snugged one to the other, the grain pattern matches when the two bottom doors are butted together. The glass doors and shelves of the display cabinet are perfect. There is no splintered or missing sections. There are light surface scratches mainly on the very top of the display cabinet which are hard to see in the photos, but I do show them in the last few photos. There is a scratch on the top of the sideboard which shows in the 2nd last photo. This item is located in my home in Clearwater, Florida for pickup. You are looking at 2 parts of the desk- the return and the big desk area. with drawers in one side and other side stay on top of the return. The return itself is a unique piece with drawers in middle. drawers and secret storage in front. that can be use by itself if design. All sides are finish so you can place this desk any where in the room which many way. the drawers on the big desk can be move from lelf to right so does the credenza. though you may also know the legs also move. Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Credenza Johannes Andersen Buffet 8ft. Sideboard
Large Johannes Andersen teak Mid Century Modern Danish Credenza/Sideboard. Finished all the way around- front and back. Measurements: LENGTH: 7 ft. 10.5 in. 240 cm) DEPTH: 19.69 in. 50 cm) HEIGHT: 33.46 in. 85 cm) The top has been refinished. There is slight bubbling of the veneer in the very middle. No bigger than a lemon- and only visible in the glare of sunlight. I can provide pics upon request. Many areas on the front that are imperfections; I photographed all issues, which are older teak oil tiny droplets(pics 3& 5) Some surfaces scratches as seen in pic 4. Pic 5 shows a lighter color strip on the left side of the drawers(looking at them) that is@ 5 inches wide and goes down the length of the drawers. At the top of pic 2 you can see a slight area of lighter wood color on the top of the left side tamboured door. All of the issues ... moreare very minor and hard to see, but please enlarge each photograph and check everything out to make sure you are happy with your purchase. After looking closer at the unit. It appears that the right side drawers(looking at it) have had some repair done to the ends where they wrap around the end of the unit. It is hard to tell, and I am not sure, but please look at and enlarge picture 6 for a close up of the drawer ends. The tamboured doors work nicely. The credenza features finely sculptured drawer pulls that wrap around each end of the unit. The left side of the open area has two removable and adjustable shelves that are the same size. The right side has two adjustable and removable shelves but the bottom shelf is recessed as you can see in pic 12. Four of the original shelf pins are missing- I used wood dowels in their place. Older Danish furniture uses larger shelf pins than are currently made. And I am trying to locate some to provide with this unit. If I cannot locate more, the wood dowels that I made to keep the one shelf up will hopefully suffice; they are durable. This is a very heavy and sturdy unit. Shipping will be done via freight.
