This 19th century piece is just gorgeous and would surely be a beautiful focal point in your home. This is a impressive sideboard with gorgeous spoon carvings. Finials, carved Lion heads,burl walnut panel accents and a fancy carved scroll and shell gallery as well as the original beautiful brown marble top and the original brass hardware and early dove-tailed ends on the drawers. This sideboard/ buffet measures a total height of 82 1/2 inches( 6 ft 10 1/2 in) to the top of the carvings on the very top center. Height from the floor to the top of the brown marble measures 36 1/2 inches,with a total width of 48 1/4 inches and a depth at the base of 21 1/2 inches and this pieces weighs approximately 250 lbs. This sideboard does dis-assemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf above the marble measures 26 inches in height above the marble top and the shelf measures 43 inches wide by 11 inches deep.The larger mirror measures 19 inches high by 33 inches wide, and the three mirrors at the top each measure 10 inches wide by 6 inches high. This is a fabulous piece in wonderful antique condition and the original brown marble top is also just beautiful with no apologies we can find. All the locks are intact but the key provided just aids in opening the cabinet doors and does not work the locks. There is a small piece of carving missing on the left side of the pediment inside of one of the scrolls. I have shown a close-up of in the pictures and appears to have been missing for a long time.nothing major in my opinion and definitely doesn't distract from the beauty of this gorgeous 19th century piece. The top right drawer on the inside by the lock is missing a sliver of wood which this cannot be seen unless you open the drawer and left door bottom has a slight hairline which I have shown in a close-up picture also. The wood appears to be mahogany and it has a dark finish. There is a beautifully carved crown on the hutch above the server. The hutch has 3 doors all of them have locks and a key. The 2 side doors are paneled with small floral carvings to match the crown. The center door has beveled glass that appears to be original old glass. There are no breaks. Cracks, chips or scuffs on the glass. There is an adjustable shelf inside the hutch doors. The lower center back of the hutch holds a beveled edge mirror. The mirror is in great condition too with no chips, cracks or breaks. The top of the buffet server is ivory marble and in great shape. There are no chips, cracks or breaks that I can see in the marble. The corners of the marble are rounded and smooth and the top surface is smooth to the touch. The buffet has 3 paneled doors and 2 dovetail drawers all have locks and a key. We have 3 keys to this piece. The keyhole plate is missing from the front of the right side lower door. This piece is very elegant. The corners of the hutch and server are reeded and carved with flowers that match the crown. The front feet are reeded bulb style. We purchased this piece from a couple that bought it in Holland and had it shipped to the US for their home. We also have a set of dining chairs from Holland so be sure to check out our other listings in our eBay store for details on it. Since I cannot ascertain its manufacturer or age. You must be the ultimate judge. This stunning Sideboard has 4 drawers with silver ball type pulls. Each backed by a copper disc. The end swinging cabinet doors are hinged the full length and both contain a working lock(photo#4) with key. The pulls on each door are truly amazing, a perfect compliment to the quarter-sawn oak veneer inlay. There is one small area of veneer loss on the RH end(photo#8) which is easily repaired. It could be called by many names and serve a variety of purposes: hutch, bar, sideboard, buffet, credenza, server or china cabinet. Whatever you call it, it is a lovely piece of furniture. The previous owner stated that she acquired this from Europe, specifically England. The only marking is"220" in chalk on the back. The buffet appears to be composed of tiger oak. With a medium-tone finish. The wood features carved ornamentation of fruit and foliage, a motif very popular during the Art Nouveau period from 1910-1930. The surface of the buffet has a marble top that is red in color with gray veining. There is a beveled mirror on the recessed portion of the top section of the buffet. The doors of the buffet have beautiful brass pulls and working locks. We have ... morethe original key, which operates all of the locks. The doors have a unique brass hinge design which allows them to be removed without the use of a tool. The top center door is glass. The final feature, which is also my favorite, are the curved feet that support the body of the buffet. Antique French? European? Art Deco Sideboard Here is a wonderful antique Art Deco Sideboard for you consideration. I'm not certain of it's origin but appears to be Italian or French. Since I cannot ascertain its manufacturer or age. You must be the ultimate judge. This stunning Sideboard has 4 drawers with silver ball type pulls. Each backed by a copper disc. The end swinging cabinet doors are hinged the full length and both contain a working lock(photo#4) with key. The pulls on each door are truly amazing, a perfect compliment to the quarter-sawn oak veneer inlay. There is one small area of veneer loss on the RH end(photo#8) which is easily repaired. The crowning element is the top surface which is a warm rose-colored Italian marble. The top measures 47-1/4” wide x 19-3/4” deep. The sideboard stands approx. 33” tall. A very fine antique. Circa 1870's, solid walnut and walnut burl veneers Renaissance Revival mirror backed and marble topped sideboard. Two piece construction, with original gray veined beveled marble top. The top section has three mirrors, with architectural elements and carvings, and two nick nack shelves. The case has three long drawers over three doored compartments, each compartment with a stationary removable walnut shelf. There are fine burl walnut veneers on raised panels. It has been very finely refinished, includes all locks, each lock with identical brass(six) keys. Sideboard measures 7'10" 94" tall by 5'6" 66" wide by 21" deep at center. Excellent condition: walnut boards without chips or cracks, burls without chips. The marble is without chips or cracks, no stains. All mirrors fine without ... morebacking spots or cloudiness. American Victorian Marble-top " Hunt" Sideboard
This is a beautiful American Victorian marble top sideboard circa 1865. The case is made of walnut. With lovely raised panels with molded edges and inset panels of burr walnut veneer. It has the"dead game" carvings that were popular at the time. The top of the sideboard is not original to the base. But has been on it for 35 years that I have owned it. I give no value to the top as the asking price is for the base only. If the purchaser wants the top included at no cost, that is agreeable.

Offered for sale is a French Louis XVth style marble top sideboard that is 7 ft 7 inches long. 42" high and 23" deep. This beautiful sideboard was made in France in the early 1900's. It is topped with a solid slab of beveled edge marble with beautiful yellow, reds and ochre colors. Note the photo showing the double ogee edge carving of the thick marble. The sideboard has 5 drawers in the center, 4 doors with 4 drawers above the doors. The end doors and drawers are convex shape, what we call demilune(half moon) This style is so desirable as it gives an easy flow to the room-no square edges.
