I have had this in my home for over 20 years and have always ... moreloved the great form and tall counter height(43" including the 1-3/4" removable wooden casters on the feet) which is seldom found. I don't know the manufacturer and can find no label on it but judging from the quality of the cabinet and the hardware it could be Stickley. Limbert, or another comparable maker from the very early 1900's. All solid quarter sawn tiger oak throughout. No breaks or repairs. Nice original finish with only normal light surface wear. There is one pull missing on the bottom drawer. Measurements are 58" long. 57-1/4" tall to the top of the mirror, 43" height to the counter top, and 22-1/2" deep. These measurements include the 1-3/4" height of the removable wooden foot casters. If you like the Arts& Crafts era furniture here's one with exceptional style and condition that is ready to set into your home. You are welcome to pick this up at my home in Massillon. Genuine Antique Empire Sideboard- mid 19th Century From a Philadelphia estate. We are only the 2nd owners of this piece. Beautiful solid mahogany piece with flame mahogany veneer. Condition: Sideboard has a french polish finish except for top which was refinished. Piece has some age related cracks. Including the top, but all parts are stable. Drawer knobs are replacements. Some flame mahogany veneer loss(I have some of the pieces) hard to notice as piece is mahogany as well underneath the veneer. Large. Stunning Unique Vintage Antique Sideboard Server Buffet Table
This is an absolutely gorgeous old buffet sideboard table. This was purchased at an auction of an estate of a gentleman who spent the vast majority of his life purchasing and refinishing high end and hand made furniture. I was able to speak to him about this buffet and he stated the the front drawers were hand scooped/carved. The carved drawers really give this table a unique character. The sideboard appears to be made out of oak and it has a central green leather with gold trim inlay that allowed for hot plates and dishes as well as wet items to be set on top without damaging the wood. Buffet measures 30" high x 42" long x 19" wide. I can find three very small little rubs in the leather. Pinpoint size. The rest of the leather is in great shape. There are a couple of places where it appears that the adhesive leaked from under ... morethe leather. This buffet is solid and heavy! Joints are solid. there are three drawers.a lap drawer and two side drawers. All drawers work flawlessly and all rails for the drawers are solid. A one of a kind buffet. Absolutely beautiful. A very nice buffet. Hand carvings on front and ball type feet. Measures 62 inches wide 20 inches deep and 37 inches tall at the back plate. Serving platform is 35 1/2 inches tall. 3 drawers with silverware tray in middle drawer. 4 doors on bottom. As you can see in the pictures it is in pretty good shape. With a couple defects as shown in pictures. A great add to just put in kitchen or refinish if you want. Not sure of age or who made it. Local pick up only. This Auction is for an ANITIQUE SOLID OAK(TIGER? BUFFET SERVER SIDEBOARD Manufactured by Grand Rapids Chair Co. This bu ffet table does have some fairly unique features. The bottom drawer is a s ingle full width drawer! There i s a built-in felt lined silverware drawer in the right cabinet! Each set of cabinets are designed to lock! note- locks are in place- there are no keys) The Buffet Table is Approximately 6' 72" in length x 38" Tall(42.5" tall including back splashboard) x 23" Deep The cabinet height from the top of the legs is approximately 22" Over all. This buffet table is in very good condition for it's age, but it does need some minor repairs- please see below for details- The top of the table does show wear from use and age. Most of the wear is sur face wear and a lot of it could probably be buffed ... moreout if so desired. The photo was taken at an angle to capture the detail and over emphasi zes the appearance. Aesthetically. The biggest issue is the small piece of missing trim on the right side of the left half of the drawer. There are two spindles that are not in place across the bottom. Unfortunately. There is only one spindle available, the second spindle is missing and will need to be replaced. Functionally. The drawer is currently difficult to open and close, but I believe this is due to the bottom spindles not being in place and would be easily remedied. There is a small area(about quarter sized) on the left top of the table that was there at the time the table was made and is simply a characteristic fl aw in the wood that was used and simply adds to the unique antique characteristics of the entire piece. These are all relatively easy repairs. But they are repairs that are best left to those with experience in the area of antique repairs. Overall- a very beautiful piece of American history! Circa 1920 Oak Back splash is not original Few small stains(see description) Sturdy and heavy Has key, Made from a wonderful selection of English oak. This antique Arts and Crafts sideboard is a sturdy and beautiful addition for any dining room. Not only does it provide more than ample storage, it also has a unique and eye-catching look to it. This sideboard was made sometime around the year 1920 in England. The oak wood has a lovely. Light patina that will continue to grow deeper and more beautiful ... moreas it ages. For storage there are two large drawers and three cabinet sections. Both drawers open and close easily and were constructed with dovetailed drawer joints. There are two large drop ring brass handles on each drawer. The three cabinet doors are each decorated with beautiful carvings that have a very regal look to them. The left cabinet contains two pull out slides that are lined with green felt. the felt is old and dingy) The center cabinet is completely open although it appears to have had shelves or slides at one point. The right hand cabinet has one pull out drawer at the bottom which appears to be a later addition to the piece. All three doors lock and one key is included. Being such a heavy and sturdy Arts and Crafts sideboard this piece has withstood the test of time very well. There are a few minor cosmetic issues to mention. There is a small light stain on the bottom moulding near the left front foot. The right side panel has a slight age separation to it. The top has a few old stains and a ring mark. This is a beautiful Statton Trutype Americana Sideboard.Dimensions are as follows.66" wide.34" tall.20" deep.It has the wood dust dividers built in.All solid wood.Not particle board. It is a superiior high quality, extremely well-made piece. It has been well taken care of. It has a small water stain on top right corner as shown in pic.and the pull on the right door is slightly bent as shown in pic. Not sure how that happened and it's next to impossible to notice it. It does have few minor surface scratches, most of which were not noticeable at all after piece was polished, so overall it is in very nice condition. Best for local pick-up. Solid wood English Buffet with Burl Walnut and Mahogany surfaces. Circa 1965. We are pleased to present this beautiful solid wood English Buffet for your consideration. It features extensive use of Burl Walnut and Mahogany wood. And has gorgeous Queen Anne/ Cabriolet style legs. A vintage piece, it dates to around the 1960's. Two end compartments. With fixed position shelves located near the top, provide storage for tall and bulky items. Three drawers at center, included a felt lined flatware drawer at the top position, provide plenty of additional storage space for utensils and other smaller items. The Buffet measures 36-1/2 inches high(plus 1 inch additional for the backstop) 57 inches wide, and 21-1/2 inches deep. We estimate its weight at 125 pounds(2 people can move it without difficulty) Wear is less than would be expected given ... morethe age of the piece. And is mostly seen at the edge, and right below the edge, where there are various small nicks and bumps to the wood. The interior has some soil and stains, but a vacuum and wipe down would take care of the majority. Typical wear is found around the feet, with the front edges showing some bumps.
