Its clean lines will compliment a wide variety of decors, including neoclassical, English Georgian and French empire. It features a rouge marble top, crosshatch parquetry inlay, and neoclassical gilt bronze mounts including lion and goddess masks, rosettes, reed-and-tie molding, and shell and scrolling foliate motifs. It measures 46" wide, 50.25" tall and 18" deep. Interior measures 40.5" wide and 30" high, and is fitted with notched sides to accomodate two, original adjustable shelves. This cabinet dates from circa 1900. The rear panel is pierced with a handful of holes created to accomodate television and stereo cords. Each panel has a handful or more noticeable scuffs and chips to the parquetry, and the side panels appear to have been relacquered because these damages are not noticeable by touch. Each center door has a single stress crack. There are other minor chips here and there, and the gilt bronze molding on the left corner has separated from the frame. I have had this in my home for over 20 years and have always ... moreloved the great form and tall counter height(43" including the 1-3/4" removable wooden casters on the feet) which is seldom found. I don't know the manufacturer and can find no label on it but judging from the quality of the cabinet and the hardware it could be Stickley. Limbert, or another comparable maker from the very early 1900's. All solid quarter sawn tiger oak throughout. No breaks or repairs. Nice original finish with only normal light surface wear. There is one pull missing on the bottom drawer. Measurements are 58" long. 57-1/4" tall to the top of the mirror, 43" height to the counter top, and 22-1/2" deep. These measurements include the 1-3/4" height of the removable wooden foot casters. If you like the Arts& Crafts era furniture here's one with exceptional style and condition that is ready to set into your home. You are welcome to pick this up at my home in Massillon. What we have up for auction is an Ethan Allen Dining Room Server(for lack of the correct name) and Top Hutch. Base is marked: 10-6027/ PLT 2/ 272260. Hutch is marked: 10-6049/ PLT 21/ 277240. Base measures: 32.25" tall x 34.25" wide x 18.75" deep. Hutch measures: 27.5" tall and the two plate grooved shelves are 7" deep. Base unit has louvered doors and a removable serving tray(see pictures) Hutch and base are both in very good condition. There are some heavy scratches on the left rear corner(see pictures) When the hutch is in place only a very small area of these scratches are noticeable. Please take a look at the pictures. I took a picture with the hutch on and off. There are also some marks on the top of the base(please take a look at the pictures) All drawers operate with ease. The left side door trim is chipped at the tip top of the fleur de lis(see photo) But this was done very long ago, as the wood has a patina from being exposed for so long. The inside of the drawer bears a tag for“G.T. Rackstraw. Worcester, England. Made from fine mahogany wood, this buffet has beautiful color and an attractive look. The company G. T. Rackstraw originated in England around 1749. They specialized in making fine furniture of mahogany. Yew, and oak. Their focus was to make a high end item that would last for many ... morelifetimes. Because of their quality construction they are rarely sold, but instead handed down from generation to generation. We feel this sideboard was made around 1960. The wonderful mahogany has a splendid grain and beautiful color. Satinwood inlays and mahogany cross bands provide subtle. But necessary contrast around the doors, drawers, and top. Further enhancing the beauty of this sideboard are fluted details between the drawers and doors and down the legs. The legs themselves are tapered and end in spade feet. The cabinet doors stay closed with a spring latch and the drawers slide smoothly on wooden runners. The brass ring pulls are in great shape and are the right proportion for this size buffet. The only blemish on this bow front sideboard is a small separation in the top on the right hand side. We have pictured this in the photos. This separation is from shrinkage of the solid mahogany top that occurs when the wood breathes. This is a cosmetic phenomenon and does not affect the integrity of the top. For Auction: Stunning antique buffet/ server. From around 1880's to 1900. Nice hand carving work on this piece and It is the original finish with great patina. Both bottom doors lock and have key. The server has some wear for its age. But it is solid with no loose joints and is in overall great condition. Top has a split(see pic) But it has been glued so it is solid and secure. The line is still slightly visible since it was not sanded and refinished as to hide it completely. Overall dimensions are 50" wide x 37" tall x 18" deep. This impressive example has a shaped square edged top with crossbanding over two long drawers with three drawers flanked by cupboard doors raised on square tapering supports with spade feet. The former owners used it as a sideboard in their dining room along with silver leaf chairs.The Asian inspired decorative painting is signed by the artist( R. Welch) but we could not find out any further info. on the artist.It has three graduated drawers on each side with an adjustable shelf concealed by two doors in the center.It has fancy brass pulls.
