The Sideboard measures 48' x 44'x 18 and the mirror measures 48' x 2. The total height of piece from the base to the apex of the mirror is 72' From the claw feet and the bowed class. To the duel hand carved loin's head support pillars, this piece of formatter makes a bold statement, and will be the focal point of any room it is placed in guaranteed. The curio cabinet is lighted and has 2 shelves. It also features two dovetailed draws. It is in good vintage condition. I inherited it from my father who passed away, and I really wish I could keep it. Antique cabinet' Gorgeous antique wooden cupboard. Very old possibly late 1800's early 1900's. Beautiful wood- not sure what it is though- Oak? When we recieved this cupboard 12 years ago it had at least 5 layers of white paint- we sanded most of it to leave a rustic heritage piece. Hand carved doors and drawers with original handles still attached. One of the handles has broken off. But we still have the handle if you wanted to fix it. Top of the cupboard has a split in the wood- we covered it with photos and a cane runner. One leg at the back is missing- but this has not taken away from its functionality. Antique Tiger Oak Sideboard/ Buffet w/ Beveled Mirror and Claw Feet
What I have here is an outstanding Empire style tiger oak sideboard/ buffet circa 1900 with a tag from Picture Rocks. PA. The tag(photo shown) indicates the Burrows Bros. Co. Ltd. as the manufacturer. A fellow named Amos Burrows started the furniture co. in Lycoming County. Pennsylvania in 1856 and the enterprise was sold in 1939. This one is from the Burrow's Brothers unique"Roller Guide Line. Two tiny wooden wheels hold each drawer in place and enable smooth gliding back and forth. Some information on the manufacturer's history can be found on the internet at usgennet.org/usa/pa/county/lycoming/history/Chapter-31.html There are Claw feet in the front and straight legs in the back. All legs have the original wooden rollers for easily moving this piece around. The overall dimensions are 48" W x 22 1/2" D x 61 1/2" ... moreH. The height to the first level is 39" The height to the second level is 56 1/2" The two levels are connected by columns. The mirror is the original beveled mirror with the dimensions 37"W x 13"H. It has 2 drawers on top that are each 20 1/2" long. There is 1 long drawer in the middle of the piece that is 42" long. At the botto m are 2 doors w/ post in-between. There is a large open storage area behind these doors. The drawers and doors have beautiful decorative brass knobs as pulls(photo shown) Some minor imperfections- as shown in pictures- are: varnish spot(top left side) slight warpage of veneer in one spot(top right ride) and two spots of discoloration in mirror The 2 drawers on top. The long drawer in the middle, and the two bottom doors, all have keyholes for locking, but no key. Overall condition is very good. Considering its age. We've really cared for this piece. This piece combines beauty and function. The piece measures 487/8" long x 21.25" wide x 36.5" high. The attached mirror is 47" long x 16.25" high. The sideboard offers three dove tailed drawers for storage of linens and silver. The drawers are flanked by two glass door sections. Each section has a push button mechanism on the handle to keep them closed. There is a shelf at the center of each section. This is the original curved. Wavy glass. There are hand carved claw feet on the front and straight square ... morelegs on the back. This has all the original hardware on it. There are age appropriate signs of wear and use to the finish. It does not have any large dings or dents on it. The top does have what appear to be some form of indentations. One looks like it was filled in but I also believe these may have been original to the piece. They are hard to see up close but can be felt when you run your hand over it. The piece is solid with no lose joints and does not move when you try and shake it. This is a previously owned item and it is being sold as shown. Breathtaking huge Austrian ornately carved solid oak sideboard buffet cupboard
This once-in-a- lifetime piece has been lovingly cared for all of its' life-125 years-and its' condition shows it. The original finish glows and the gleaming brass handles. Hinges and locks accentuate the magnificent hand carving-people, gargoyles, leaves, acanthus, practically a catalogue of the woodcarver's Art. We have owned it for almost 40 years and it is a treasured part of our household. But, time moves on and we are down-sizing. We were told. When we were living in Germany, that during the wars, pieces like this were wrapped in oilcloth and buried out on the grounds to protect them. They certainly weren't in any danger of being carried off! The measurements of this piece are: 10 8 inches(9' tall by 8 2 inches wide by 3 2 inches deep. It needs at least 10 foot ceilings and a nine foot wide wall to look right. But-oooohhh ... morethe storage! There are four. 26 inch deep drawers for silver, placemats, candles and tablecloths. Four cupboards, down below, hold all your china, platters, bowls and vases. Up above, the two-door cupboard holds crystal and glassware and the open shelves show off your collections. The gargoyle, up on top, points out the carving that identifies it as having been built in 1888. This piece, all together, weighs about 1200 pounds-but it comes apart in four pieces-the bottom buffet, the beautiful, perfectly preserved black flecked marble, the upper cupboard and the gargoyle's box pediment, up on top. First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique dining room set has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this set end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. We bought this set as a favor to a friend. We do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. Dealers selling similar pieces on Ebay have used the description Vintage French Country. What we do know is that each piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. The only hardware in the whole set are the hinges. Handles and lock mechanisms on the sideboard and the china, and those are all solid brass. We also have two very decorative brass keys that fit all the locks. This set is solid oak with a medium finish. The parquet tops on the ... moresideboard and the dining room table are solid. Not veneer. The set is heavily carved. Each piece has gorgeous detail. The legs of each piece are curved with carved detail. Pictures do not do this set justice. It is large. Bold and just gorgeous. The flaws mentioned are mostly hardly noticeable. We mention the bumps and bruises so that somebody is not expecting a flawless set, however we highly encourage personal inspection of these items to see exactly for yourself. ANTIQUE HEAVY CARVED OAK FRENCH RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CABINET CUPBOARD SIDEBOARD
This absolutely terrific antique heavy carved quartersawn oak French Renaissance Revival massive sideboard or vasselier was purchased by it's current owner about 10 years ago in an antiques shop in Lyon. France and imported to it's current location in Charleston, SC. This high quality solid oak furniture was manufactured somewhere between the 1900 and the early to mid-twentieth century. In addition to it's marvelous condition, the beautiful wood grain is highlighted by the linen fold design and all the other highly detailed carvings, wood applique and hand forged iron hardware along with keys to the locks and hand dovetailed drawers. This oversize cupboard stands 87 1/2 inches tall by 83 1/2 inches wide by 23 1/2 inches front to back, making an impressive statement as a wall unit all on it's own in any room of your home or ... morebusiness. ANTIQUE HEAVY CARVED QUARTERSAWN OAK MIRROR BACK SIDEBOARD CUPBOARD CABINET
Here is an absolutely terrific find. Recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh and in very nice condition for an early 20th century quartersawn oak cupboard, with beautiful carvings including detailed leaves on the banquet drawers and upon the doors and mirror back top. This lovely sideboard has a nice, large serving area top surface, measuring 59 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches front to back( 24 inches deep from the front of banquet drawers) with a surface height of 38 1/2 inches tall. These are the overall dimension of the bottom section of the sideboard, which travels easily in two pieces. The top mirror back section measures 40 inches tall by 55 inches wide and 11 inches deep, front to back, at it's deepest point, allowing both top and bottom to be easily blanket wrapped for safe and easy shipping. The mirror back top features ... morecolumns, candle stands on each side 12 inches above the top surface with beveled mirrors behind to maximize reflection. These mirrors measure 15 1/2 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide and are clear with beveled edges as is the larger central mirror measuring 27 1/4 inches tall and 19 1/2 inches wide. The cabinet has 2 drawers. One on either side below the top surface, each 14 1/4 inches by 14 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches deep, and two delightfully carved banquet drawers each 18 inches wide by 16 inches front to back by 3 1/4 inches deep. Below the drawers are cabinets with beautifully carved doors. The two side cabinets measure 18 inches wide by 16 inches deep and 24 inches tall. In the bottom of the right side facing cabinet is a cellarette 16 inches by 16 inches by 4 inches tall, with room for 9 bottles with 13 inches overall clearance, that slides in and out for easy access. Above the top shelf on that side is an additional 9 inches of clearance space. The opposing cabinet is the same dimensions but divided into two shelves with 9 inches clearance above the lower shelf and 14 inches clearance above the top shelf.
