1890's Oak Sideboard Buffet w/Barley Twist pillars and carved bevelled mirror
Beautiful. Functional buffet with carved beveled mirror. This piece is in very good condition. One of the smaller drawers is missing half of it's bottom, but has not been repaired because of inability to locate proper replacement material. Four of the original pulls are missing. The mirror does have one blemish. And the front edge of the base top has small dents, indicating use. This was a gently used and functional piece that has been said to come from one of the homes of Brigham Young, though we have not been able to verify that claim, yet.

Here is an absolutely gorgeous early 20th century quartersawn dark oak tall heavy carved mirror back sideboard with large beveled mirror and mirrored candle stands. Beautiful heavy carvings of grapes and other Arts and Crafts style motifs, lovely probably original metal Arts& Crafts hardware and keys for the lower cabinet. This wonderful solid oak sideboard has bun feet and a lovely carved bonnet on top and is overall just a striking piece in a tall but workable size. This sideboard stands 73 1/2 inches tall by 48 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches front to back overall, but travels in two pieces- the base 40 inches tall by 48 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches front to back; and the top section- 33 1/2 inches tall by 45 inches wide by 9 3/4 inches front to back. This lovely though functional piece is in remarkably nice though age appropriate condition ... moreas shown and was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh. The top work surface is quite nice as shown and it is clean and in overall good condition inside and out. The large beveled mirror is 23 1/2 inches tall by 18 1/2 inches wide. the two small beveled candle stand mirror are 9 1/2 inches tall by 8 1/2 inches wide. The two buffet drawers are each 18 1/4 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches front to back and 3 1/4 inches deep. he large open cabinet space behind the two lower doors measures 45 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches front to back and 26 inches tall and is divided by a fixed shelf with 11 inches clearance above the shelf and 14 inches clearance below the shelf. These doors do currently lock with the keys I will enclose. Though I never vouch for the longevity of old locks. This fabulous sturdy old piece stands on eight ball feet and stands 46 inches tall to the top of the mantle with a surface height of 38 inches, measuring 78 inches long and 25 1/2 inches deep front to back. ANTIQUE L & JG STICKLEY SIDEBOARD MISSION OAK ARTS & CRAFTS
We can't believe our good fortune. We have found a nice antique mission oak L&JG Stickley sideboard#734. It has the Handcraft decal in the top center drawer. It has good fumed oak color with normal wear.This model is a very hard to find this form. Due to the desirable smaller size. This measures 48 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 44 inches at the top of the plate rail. It came from a home in central Florida and was"touched up" by a local refinishing shop before I found it. It dates from about 1906-1910 and is in very good"as found" condition. The top has been sanded and refinished and the entire piece has an overcoat with color added. The hardware is perfect and the patina is lovely. The last one of these was I saw was a train wreck, and still brought a fair price considering the condition. I believe in offering ... moregood pieces at fair prices, please see my feedback for further confirmation of this fact. The only area I see of any real imperfection is the left side panel has a seam separation which has been re-glued, but touched up.

When I purchased this set 8 years ago, I was told this was quarter sawn oak, but I can't confirm this(maybe you can tell by the pictures) The table is 5 feet long by 38 inches wide(two leaves retract under the main table) When the table is expanded it is 91 inches long. This is in good condition with wear for a dining room set of this age. One leaf will need minor adjustments to the retracting mechanism.

A bulbous design front, paneled sides, multi tapered ... moreturned spindles, and is heavily carved, that dates from the 1890s. This came off a container from Europe, and although it looks American, it is most likely English. It would make a fantastic bathroom sink cabinet, if you could deal with the height of the base, because of the way the base has a carved middle drawer that bows out with ridges and the bulbous carved front. Just across the front of the base it has more than 20 deeply carved raised panels! If you took off the doors and drawer fronts, you could hang them on the wall as works of art. The top of the base doesn’t just have an ogee beveled edge, it has an amazing beveled edge that is twice as wide as normal. It has its original hardware, an applied bracket foot base, and then you look at the top. It has triple mirrors, the two outside large, oval and of beveled glass, and the center mirror of beveled glass with 45-degree corners. There are all kinds of raised panels, and there are candle shelves for lamps, and incredible acanthus carved pillars with cornices on top. There are three working drawers. The further three working drawers down the centre of the base are sham drawers. This is flanked by two opening cupboard drawers. Which each have a working lock and key. The dresser stands on the original length style feet. The backboards. Circa 1790– 1820, originating from Anglesey, North Wales. The dresser boasts great craftsmanship and although predominantly oak. It boasts red walnut drawer fronts and satinwood inlaid escutcheons. The dresser rack consists of very good quality wide(a sign of quality) pine backboards with three racks that can support plates. Above there is a lovely moulded protruding cornice. Large strong shoes that screw into the top of the base support the rack. Below. The breakfront dresser base features a solid two plank oak top with a central column of working drawers flanked by a cupboard each side. To each side of the centre of the dresser are turned quarter columns. The base consists of six working drawers with old brass swan neck handles and back plates and two cupboards with old brass knobs. I love this piece but have no room for it. Its very clean. Has been refinished, but the restoration was well done. The mirror is original with some shadowing. Exquisite European Antique Carved Oak Buffet / Sideboard
I have owned this beautiful oak sideboard for about 10 years. It is in nice shape with what I believe is the original finish. It has a few condition issues(see photos) Nothing serious, I have itemized them below. It measures 86 inches wide. 23 inches deep, and 51 inches tall. It is made to come apart. So it is much easier to move than it appears. My Father told me this was common in northern Europe as stairways and doors were often narrow. The family I bought it from purchased it in the 1950's from a friend who imported antiques from Belgium. They used it as a store fixture(it has a check guarantee bank sticker on the back) and later as a storage piece in their home. No shipping on this item. The marble is a wonderful color match or the oak wood with tans and taupes throughout. It would be an excellent piece in a dining room or to use as a bar. There are two drawers and two cabinet doors in this marble top server that provide a good amount of storage. for auction a wonderful antique quartersawn oak server or could be used as a sideboard in a smaller dining room sitting. it has great form and beauty. The top and bottom sides are bombayed, the center drawers are bowed in a fine fashion. three curved upperdrawers, the center with felt. it has two doors on either side as you see. the piece is presented in original finish, all the hardware is original and perfect including the door locks. each drawer has original lock, all locks work with ease and i have the original key for it. it has two fierce whole bodied griffins on the mirror crest which are carved in a very fine fashion. it has the original beveled mirror which needs to be cleaned. as i was cleaning the woodwork on the mirror frame some of the new life got on the mirror and i just wiped it off, should have used some water. anyway, the ... moremirror will clean up nicely and only has a few minor areas of silver loss. this is a very heavy piece, i can barely lift one end with the drawers out and the mirror off. it was made by a superior cabinet maker, possibly horner of new york, as the drawer construction with the birdseye maple bottom are very indicative of his work. it could have been made by berkey and gay from mich. really doesn't matter who made it. it is constructed with perfection. it has 4 very well carved claw feet that support it. the cabinet is in wonderful antique condition with great patina. i cleaned and polished it as it has been in storage for a few years. it is quite solid and everything that is suppose to work, works like the day it was made. there are no major blemishes but on a piece that is 120 years old you can expect a few little bumps and bruises, however, i would classify this piece as near mint condtion. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck fyi, i paid 2000 for it years ago, i am starting it at 2300. ebay has triple their fees, it used to be 3 percent, they raised to 10 percent, greedy bastards. at any rate, their commission and listing fees etc. wi

The two-piece buffet cabinet( bahut deux corps) has three doors in the top section along with three doors and three drawers in the bottom. The doors lock with the original keys. Antique Heavily Carved Oak Sideboard European Origins Needs TLC
We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning European oak sideboard. This piece measures 53.75"W x 76.5"H to the back top x 19.5"D. It is 33.5" to the height of the work area. The top boasts an elaborate center carved panel depicting a scene with a man and a woman. This panel is flanked with more elaborately carved sections. Above and below there are spindles and on the sides there are also pinwheel style spindle& carving designs. There are elaborate floral designs surrounding the center panel. and separating the center panel from the panels with the pinwheel designs. Above the top spindles. The crest also boasts elaborate acanthus leaf carving with a center medallion of a bust of a man. The corners of the crest have small finials on them. One of these is broken off but we do have it. The work surface on this ... moreis in good condition with light surface scratches. Divets, and dings that are age and use appropriate. Below the work surface there are two carved front drawers with a carved medallion between them. The drawers have early joinery as shown in the photos. These also have what appears to be the original brass hardware. At the base of the piece there is a large surface for storage with two columns in the front as well as a small spindled gallery shelf. The bottom molding is ornately carved with the same floral medallion. There is a large crack and piece missing to the bottom molding. This sits on bun feet. There is one foot missing on the back and there is also one cracked. There are age and use appropriate scratches. Dings, and divets on this piece. There are areas that are also in need of repair.
