I don't know the manufacturer and can find no label on it but judging from the quality of the cabinet and the hardware it could be Stickley. Limbert, or another comparable maker from the very early 1900's. All solid quarter sawn tiger oak throughout. No breaks or repairs. Nice original finish with only normal light surface wear. There is one pull missing on the bottom drawer. Measurements are 58" long. 57-1/4" tall to the top of the mirror, 43" height to the counter top, and 22-1/2" deep. These measurements include the 1-3/4" height of the removable wooden foot casters. If you like the Arts& Crafts era furniture here's one with exceptional style and condition that is ready to set into your home. You are welcome to pick this up at my home in Massillon. 1880 French Renaissance Louis XV. Profusely Carved Quarter-Oak Sideboard/Buffet. It has a very decorative pierced gallery with finials on each end. The top center has a heavily carved crown. The Sideboard/Buffet is made in three main sections. The base with two drawers and two doors with one interior. Removable shelf measures: 55" wide x 21 1/2" deep x 39" tall. The next section supports the top section with two columns and provides a decorative pierced plate rail. It measures: 16" tall x 12" deep. The plate rail is 4" deep with a 2" opening for plates. The third(top section) measures: 51" wide x 41" tall x 13 1/2" deep. It has 3 profusely carved doors. The center door appears to have been carved from one piece of wood and represents a man on a horse with a trumpet chasing a deer. I have had the mirror professionally installed. The top has been sanded slightly and restained due to light damage. Three of the knobs have been replaced due to they were missing/or cracked. This is a statement piece. Please note. It is also EXTREMELY heavy as it is solid wood. It is 5ft long by 2 feet wide. This is a tiger sawn oak beveled glass mirror back highly carved sideboard that dates from the turn of the century. 1900. It came out of ... morean estate, and is finished in a dark, dark oak stain finish. All we did was scuff it down and re-spray it with a satin sheen lacquer. Some hardware was missing, so we replaced it with some contemporary solid cast brass hardware that looks just like the pieces we replaced. The drawers are all tiger sawn and dovetail, and are serpentine, curve, and reverse serpentine. Underneath the large drawer and three small drawers on top are two carved panel doors that open for plenty of storage. The back has fluted columns, vase-shaped posts, candle shelves where the oil lamps used to sit, an original beveled glass mirror on the back, and a detailed heavily carved backsplash. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 38 inches high to the top of the base, and 81 inches to the very top. Country French Oak Sideboard Pewter Cupboard& Clock. An authentic Country French sideboard or pewter cupboard from about 1910 has a clock. Signed by the maker in Perpignan in the south of France. Carved of solid fine grained oak, the workmanship is outstanding. Drawers have hand cut dovetails, panels are raised, the crown is gracefully arched and there are grooves in the galleries for display. The original finish has been waxed and polished. It is very well preserved with warm antique patina. Just a wipe with a dry cloth will maintain its warm glow. The top of the base has been revarnished for stain resistance and durability. Brasses are original. Keys are handles only, the locks do not work except for the two clock doors, both with beveled glass. The"Morbier" clock has been professionally cleaned and oiled. It keeps excellent ... moretime. The 6 day movement is a double striker, the bell counts the hour twice in case one is not paying attention the first time. It also rings the half hour. The hand painted porcelain dial is signed by the maker, Gaspard Scheicher a(of) Perpignan, an ancient and lovely town in southern France near the Spanish frontier. The embossed brass surround depicts musicians and a dancing couple with wheat in the background. For transporting. The upper section is a separate piece. Dimensions of this marvelous heirloom furniture are 91" wide, 25" deep, 8' 5" tall and the base is 37" high. This clock needs to be"set up" when delivered- weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult. And it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location. Glasgow. This beautiful piece of oak furniture has been built to a very high standard and has survive very well over the years. This sideboard measures approx. 136cm in length. Approx. 51.5cm in width and approx. 94cm in height. The small graduated backboard measures approx. 6cm at it tallest. This beautiful late nineteenth to early twentieth century quartersawn oak sideboard has beautiful carvings including g riffins on top. Carved lion feet, a large beveled mirror with candle stands and long display shelf above as well as a lovely server surface, drawers and open cabinet space behind decorative doors below. The wood grains on this pieces are gorgeous, the front edge has a slight serpentine front and the detailed carvings including applique and trip work are spectacular and appear to be intact. This piece is on it's original casters so it can be moved easily. I show the casters in close up behind the decorative front carved lion's foot. This large sideboard stands 79 inches tall and measures 47 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches deep. Front to back. It travels safely and easily in two parts. The base is 38 inches tall and includes ... moretwo small drawers, each 18 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches front to back and 4 inches deep, one of which is a buffet drawer, lined in old maroon felt. The first row has two smaller drawers with brass pull knobs and key holes, the second layer has one larger drawer with lift up ornate handles, and there are two doors below with brass pull knobs decorated with the wood scroll design. Listed for your consideration is this 1900's Antique Childs Oak Buffet Sideboard. This Salesman Sample Size measures approximately 16-3/8" in length. 11" in height and 8-3/4" in depth. It is constructed of quarter sawn oak and pine. Overall condition is good considering it's age. There is a decorative piece of trim missing from the lower left front of leg, and there is a water ring on the top. Antique English Solid Oak Victorian Sideboard Server 1800s
This fabulous English oak solid wood sideboard is 2 sections- top and bottom. The bottom has 4 drawers and 3 cupboards- the 2 center drawers are bowed. The cupboard side doors are single and center cupboard is a double door. It features a bowed carved front between the drawers and the center compartment- center cupboard is open up into that bowed area. Original brass"butterfly" hardware with a stylized design- one broken handle on bottom center door. The top section features 3 beveled mirrors and 4 shelves supported by carved columns. There is a sunflower motif on the pediment top center along with multiple carved flowers and leaf designs all over the front. Scrolls along the very top and sides. Very unique antique bank table that was used for filling out deposit slips. Etc. in a bank. Great as a side table or a sofa table- or even a bar. Heavy oak edged top with leather inset and a brass panel that held inkwells or vases. This measures 72" long. 24" deep, and 36 1/2" tall. The top can be removed for transport. The base stays together. A piece or two of small wood trim is missing from the base- could be fabricated or used as is. Pedestal base is trimmed in brass. You won't find another like this one. Oak Sideboard Buffet, Heavily Carved, European French Country
First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique piece has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this set end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. We bought this set as a favor to a friend. We do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. Dealers selling similar pieces on Ebay have used the description Vintage French Country. What we do know is that this piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. The only hardwareare the hinges. Handles and lock mechanisms and those are all solid brass. We also have a very decorative brass key that fit all the locks. This piece is solid oak with a medium finish. The parquet top on the sideboard is solid. Not veneer. The piece is heavily carved with ... moregorgeous detail. The legs are curved with carved detail. Pictures do not do this piece justice. The flaws mentioned are mostly hardly noticeable. We mention the bumps and bruises so that somebody is not expecting a flawless set. However we highly encourage personal inspection of these items to see exactly for Sideboard Buffet 94 1/4" long. 23 1/8 deep, 38 1/2" tall, separate carved back piece 9" high. The top of the sideboard is solid parquet. There are 4 lockable solid wood doors. Each with wonderful grain and carving. There are removable and adjustable shelves. The shelves are adjusted by wooden slats placed into wooden slots. There are two lockable drawers in the middle. Inside the left door there are two more drawers, on for flatware and one that we have never been able to open. Front legs are curved and beautifully carved. The backing of the sideboard appears to be the same solid wood with the same beautiful grain as the door panels. One of the backing panels came out of its grooves. It is intact with no damage.
